Video too?

How important is videography to you? I booked my photographer already and was wondering if it's essential? And if so would just getting the ceremony be ok?

I wanted a video more than photos but to some photos are more important than video. If it's not in your budget the likelihood of your friends and family capturing certain moments you'd want captured is likely too. So many of my friends sent me clips of our first dance and the garter toss and what not.

For me videography, is very important just like photos. We should capture and record all those special moments of ceremony. Smiley smile

If I had to choose between paying for service, photos over video. It really depends on what your wedding day is going to be like and who will attend too.. Photos were more important to us because we had a town hall ceremony between the two of us and it was easy to use my cellphone to record that part. Hubby and I are fairly private as well so we won't be uploading the video to social media or sharing outside of our immediate family members. If you have a lot of people attending, there's a good chance you will get lots of video without having to pay a pro.

Videography was a necessity for us. If a longer package wasn't in our budget, ceremony only definitely would have been fine.

I’m not worried about it. Especially with so many people with phones

Videography and photography were very important to me, but my fiance didn't care if we had a videographer. I feel that the photos and videos are the only physical things to look back at to remember that day so I wanted both. I did a ton of research to find a videographer that was in our budget and could capture all of the special moments I wanted.

We are only doing photography. It all depends on budget and what is most important to you as a couple!

We aren't having this done professionally. We decided we were just going to have my mom record it on her Iphone so we'd have it but we aren't in the least concerned with the darned thing

Photos are more important to me. My parents had a friend record their wedding and honestly it was fine. They also had the friend walk around the reception and it's nice to see the casual footage too.

Really when it comes to videography, its all dependent on the two of you for how important it is. I'm having one, a video isn't something I could live without, while one of my best friends didn't have one at all, as she & her husband were happy with pictures and didn't feel video was necessary for them

Hey Alexandra! Did you decide to book a videographer? Will they just be covering the ceremony?
