So my fiancé and I live in CA, in the San Fernando Valley which is part of LA county. Late April the governor signed an order allowing couples to get their marriage license and have a ceremony via videoconference since the courts aren’t open. LA county just announced that it is now available. I immediately told my fiancé since we had to postpone our June 5 wedding to next year but we had said we would still get legally married (we were going to get married at a church). Even though he says he does want to marry me obviously since he asked me to marry him, he’s not too sure about doing it through a “computer” he says it doesn’t feel right. It is definitely NOT the way I myself imagined us getting married but given the circumstances it’s the only way. I tried to explain to him that many other couples have gotten married this way during the coronavirus quarantine and that it’s not any less special since it’s the start of becoming husband and wife. Our original wedding date is 18 days away and we would have to make an appointment to get married this way and it’s also first come first serve. So I’m just really anxious to call and secure our date but i
he’s not feeling it. Any advice?
