Vibe

We are having a late morning wedding at the DC War Memorial on the National Mall in DC; so I want a fresh morning Boho relaxed feeling, yet elegant. I plan to arrive in a horse and carriage with my flower girl and then leave in the horse and carriage with my husband. Then we and some of our guest will enjoy a cocktail dinner cruise that evening on the Potomac. The guest attire is dressy casual because we want them to enjoy the beautiful sites of Washington, DC following the wedding.

My vibe is sort of rustic casual meets whimsical garden party.


We're having our ceremony in a gazebo in the middle of a lake and then hopefully heading to the pavillion across the street for a reception dinner and yard games ( waiting for pricing, cross your fingers for me!) I'm hoping to use the picnic tables and decorate them with cheese cloth runners, lanterns with candles, and wine bottles and bud vases with flowers. I'd LOVE to do a greenery chandelier with hanging lights but we'll see if that happens!

Classic with some moodiness... I'm wearing black with a black cape and there will be black accents along with burgundy and gold. I'm psyched for it.
