Vibe

I'm hoping we can get a good "Storybook" vibe going, so like a mix between "fantasy" and "rustic". I would just say "fantasy" if fantasy didn't also typically overlap with "classic" looks. One of the groomsmen will be wearing at least a partial suit of armor to the wedding, so that alone contributes quite a bit to a storybook fantasy vibe.

I am so early in the wedding planning but after reading your question - romantic, relaxed, with a mix of classic and vintage vibes.


I'm struggle a bit as I look at venues because so many near me are in barns or have a very rustic feel, which is an aesthetic I don't love or wouldn't be drawn to incorporate into our wedding day.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I love this question! We are hoping to do a 90s house party type theme - bright colors on white backgrounds, neon lights, good dance music, a DJ with some turntables, big boom box (just as a prop lol) and even the old school stick-on glow in the dark stars on the walls - although not stuck directly to the walls since we’re renting a venue lol - but yeah, that kind of thing. Maybe classic 90s CD-themed centerpieces - lots of fun details to figure out! We just want it to be fun and down to earth and reflect who we are!

We had a simple but elegant wedding. we wanted our guests to have a good time and they did. Our wedding was filled with good vibes.

I want my wedding to feel very PNW, like a forest lord of the rings fantasy, without the obvious signs of lord of the rings! Just want it to have that feel when you walk into the reception that you’re in another, better, calmer world.
