I would recommend setting a rough budget for yourself before finding your venue. That way you will have an idea of how much you can afford to spend on your venue while still being able to afford everything else involved in your wedding! You could check out the Budget Tool if you need some help breaking down all of your different wedding costs.

You could start your search with the WeddingWire venue directory, if you filter it to your guest count and wedding date you will be able to see what is available. You can also filter by ‘Venue Type’. I’ve started a search for you here - South Carolina Wedding Venues.

If you are looking for a venue on the cheaper side, perhaps you could look into local parks or gardens in your area that would allow you to hold your wedding there. You could also check Airbnb for large houses or estates in your area that permit guests to host events.

Sorry this is a little late, but there is a beautiful location not too far from Charleston called gatherings of dorchester. I believe they're on FB. And im pretty sure they charge less than $2,000 for venue for the whole day. There is another new place in either Hollywood or Younges Island, much closer to charleston. Not sure of the name but i saw it on FB Marketplace
