Venue Searching

We’re having a DW in Vegas. So we flew out at the beginning of May and toured 7 hotels ( which I had pre-narrowed it down to based on pictures and prices). Once we toured the hotels that weekend, we narrowed it down to 2 and then decided on the one.

However, only having one option isn’t much of an option at all. You should see if there are some other venues to tour.

We toured about 10, though 6 were all clustered in one 'destination' we were considering. The others were more local.

I think only 4 of the 10 even had our date available over a year out, so it was good to have options!

We only toured 2, but I got info on probably 12+. My fiance vetoed a bunch and after the second tour we did, we booked the venue.

We physically looked at 2 but did research on probably 10. We wanted to get married close to where we live so we didn't have much to choose from haha.

The first venue we looked at I knew it was the one but we wanted to make sure it was the right decision before booking. Second venue we looked at was very nice but was way out of our price range so we decided to go with the first venue! It's much more "us" and everyone who sees the venue has gone "yeah, this is definitely very "you"" haha.

I would definitely not go with the venue from which you have not received a response. If you really love the venue you tour, you get all your questions answered promptly, and it is within your budget, I would seriously think about booking that venue. We researched around 10 venues in our area that had the vibe our daughter wants. Only one was within our budget. We toured the venue booked it that day because it had the atmosphere she wants, and the price was within budget. She had a particular date in mind, and the venue was available, so all of that went into the decision making. Since the chairs, tables, linens, etc. and catering are done through the venue, we have had numerous questions which have always been answered in less than 24 hours. Booking a venue that respects your needs and communicates well with you is essential. Best of wishes to you.

That's great news!! What style of venues are they?

We toured one, but I got prices and virtual tours from many. The one we actually toured and fell in love when we went was the one who had the best communication and price for us. Since we wanted a smaller wedding we had to forgo some that had 100+ minimums.

If they are not giving you the attention and answers I wouldn't go tour honestly.
