Venue question

I researched a ton online! Toured 5 and picked the 4th one we went to see! Me and my FH #1 pick

We only looked at two! But we actually went with the first one we looked at. We knew it was the one as soon as we saw it, but already had an appointment to look at another later that day. As soon as we looked at that second one, it only confirmed that the first we saw was the one for us!

I knew exactly the vibe I wanted for my wedding day. I didn’t want anything too glam, or elegant. I wanted a comfortable semi-cashual open aired, outdoorsy feel. I searched venues locally on wedding wire and google, and found very little that fit my vibe. I narrowed it down to 2-3, called my favorite to be sure they had my wedding date available, and went on a tour. I only went to the one, bc I was tearing up when I did the walk through. I knew it was the one immediately. I was sold in seconds.

I researched a bunch online! I emailed countless venues about their quotes and regulations. I booked 6 tours. I only went to 4. I knew the 4th one was the one because I cried on the way home after the tour.
Even though I didn't want to, but I sat on it for a few days to make that was what I wanted and I'm happy to say that I'm signing my contract this Saturday! Whooo!

We looked up a bunch of venues before we visited and fell in love with the first one we visited. Within a week we put down our deposit

I went to 2 venues because of the distance restrictions with most of the guest comeing in from overseas. But stopped by a third on a whim and it was like a missing puzzle piece. If you find a place that will “suit your needs” or give the “feeling” I would book it ASAP! Picture it with your style and personal touches. If you keep looking you may lose the one that caught your eye.

I looked at 4 venues and ended up going with our second choice. I had done a lot of research in all three other locations but this specific one. We fell in love instantly.

We requested information on at least 20-30 venues, and tried to price things out for ourselves. From the initial list we decided to divide and conquer in setting up appointments and managing relationships, and decided to make a bet that whoever was the one to set up the tour of the winning venue would get a massage. We ended up doing 2 full days of venue tours, scheduling 4-5 in a day, and a few outside of that. I think we toured 11 overall. Seeing so many back to back helped us realize what we liked and what we didn't. I admit, after the first day I was feeling a bit dejected, but we found our venue on the second day, and it we knew when we left that it was the one.

I sent out tons of information and pricing request and toured our top 5. It was a tie between the 1st one and last one but we went with our last one toured.

We only looked at two! The first was our "backup" and the second was our "#1 choice" and we were able to go with it!!

We did however, look at around 10 seriously online and then narrowed it down to a top 4. I had a clear vision of what I wanted in a venue and we have a budget that helped us eliminate a lot of venues in pittsburgh from price alone LOL

I'm not sure if you've tried this, but we made a spreadsheet so we could look at all the pricing info what was/wasnt included and then notes (pros cons) to help us see all the info in one place.

Maybe this could help you make an informed decision?

We only physically visited 2. But I emailed and spoke to about 15 venues. I did a lot of research bc my FH and I didn't have to the time to do many visits and we wanted to solidify a venue asap. I made a list of possible venues, then emailed them about pricing to only focus on places that could fit what we wanted and that had our preferred date free. Then I checked Yelp reviews and wedding website reviews and narrowed the list down. We had 4 different places in mind, in the end, that worked with our desired date available and ended up falling in love with the second one we visited. So we only ended up seeing 2.

I contacted 10, visited 3 (visited my favorite last) but had a gut feeling. Purposely saved favorite for last, but knew hands done that it was the right choice. The cloud LITTERALLY parted when we parked, and it was absolutely beautiful!

We asked for about 20 quotes and looked at 6...supposed to be 7. We ended up choosing the the sixth venue and cancelling our last appointment.

I'm still looking!!!! I'm being very picky at the moment.

I must have visited a dozen before I decided. Some were fairly brief visits to get idea of pricing and the vibe of the environment
