Venue pricing

So my fiancé and I are trying to wedding plan. How much did you pay for your venue and what all was offered? I feel like every place we have checked into has been too expensive.

Hi Miranda!! A couple getting married in Nashville spends, on average, $2,600 to $7,500 on their venue. The higher end of that spectrum is probably due to the venue including rentals or in-house catering, that sort of thing, while the lower end is probably more DIY. Venue, catering, and photography usually make up half, if not more, of most couples' wedding budgets.

What do you count as too expensive? What price range are you trying to stay in for your venue? And are you planning on having your ceremony and reception in the same place?

Fellow TN bride here. Not sure where you are located, but where I am almost all the venues on ww are out of budget for us. Mid-20 aged couple, 2nd marriage with kids. lol. However, I found my venue by posting on my local FB yardsale site. Tons of responses flew in over the span of a day or 2. Not alot were on this website.

Mine is in a barn, not what I dreamed of, but within budget which gave me wiggle room for stuff I REALLY wanted. (e.g. photographer, amazing food and alcohol). We got a good deal of $1,500 for the entire weekend, and the owner helps set up and she cleans up. It is large enough for 150 guests, and isn't a "real ex-working barn". It was built a few years ago for the owners wedding on her property actually! It comes with tables and seating, built in bar area and tons of extra tables and such. I'm not crazy about the reception seating, so I will be looking into renting different chairs. It's not a 5 star venue, but to know it's already completely paid for and it's so open for my personal touches make it worth it!

Our first venue was 250$ since it was a state park but we soon realized it would require a lot of work (cleaning, decor, rental, etc) so we switched to a place that's 1995$ for the space but has lighting and decorations already. There's a bar and event staff. We don't need to rent anything (chairs, tables linen silverware etc). All included. Catering was another big part of our budget and had to be in house on Saturday so we ended up spending 2700 on food I think for 100 people. It's expensive but overall saves us time and the stress of figuring out rentals and decor or coordinating with more vendors. Now we can focus on DJ, photographer, clothing, invites, and other things.

We are paying $1,075 for all day access to our reception venue. The extra $75 is to rent a room upstairs for anyone 12 and under that will be watched by babysitters. It only includes set up and tear down of tables and chairs. But the caterer we are very interested in includes setting up the tables and chairs with linens and centerpieces, as well as tear down of all that in her $16.50 a person (plated meal w/ 2 entree choices). I wanted a cheaper caterer, but she's the only one who offers all this great extra stuff!

Our ceremony venue is $950 - includes rehearsal, ceremony, organ musician, wedding coordinator, and clean up.

We sort of stumbled on our venue by wonderful chance since they don't really advertise. Everything they charge goes to a charity, which we verified. We are getting the property with a large, mostly already decorated barn, all linens, tables and chairs, parking assistance, sound system, access day before and all day of the wedding and a ton of decorations (wood slices, LED candles, lanterns, Mason jars, vases, greenery, wine barrels) for $500. It's on the smaller side, can only fit about 120 ppl, but that just helps us control the guest list better since our parents would love to invite everyone they know. There are places our there that are affordable, you just have to look so hard for them.

We are spending I believe less than 7000$ for our wedding. We are having it at Chapel At The Park and the reception at Park Vista. This includes: Photos, the personalized glasses, Guest Book, flowers, boutonnières, chairs, food, wedding cake, DJ , Dance floor, up lighting, Just married items, sand and glasses. The only thing that is included in that price that I did separate is the Photographer for the Reception, Photo booth, hire a Bar Tender for 3 hours because it is a cash bar.

My fiance and I have found a couple venues that we love and are in budget! The first is Cruze Farm, a locally owned dairy farm that has a barn especially for weddings! The venue is $2500 for the whole entire weekend and includes tables, chairs, linens, and decorations! The second is Avalon Country Club. This venue, depending on the location/rooms you choose, ranges from $1500-$4000 and includes tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and an in-house day-of coordinator. They also have an in house catering and bar service which is reasonably priced!

Hey! I just got married 10/19/19 my wedding was in Townsend, Tn at country manor acres, I thought my venue was a great price (around 10,000). The venue has many in house vendors including photography, music/DJ, lodging, linens, rentals and I used most of the in house and it was all amazing! We even met at a rental company showroom to pick all of my linens, tables, chairs etc. they only thing I had to pay out of pocket was a few decorations, flowers, food, because I live in ga. So pretty much they did everything for me including setting up and cleaning up all I had to do was tell them what I wanted which was awesome it really made my wedding planning process so much easier! And I had around 40-50 guests, and the venue can hold up to 500!

I'm only having 10 guests at my wedding, so for 3 hours (includes photography and ceremony), I'm doing a $500 elopement package at Cheekwood Gardens. Smiley smile

We can do music, we can bring our own food for a picnic reception, and we can stay an hour after they close to the public!

I don't know the exact amount, but have heard that Cedars of Lebanon State Park is nice and very inexpensive!
