A lot of the places I have found are around $6000 for the venue. This includes tables, chairs, day of coordinator, tent and that is it. I am looking at outdoor locations in the Richmond, VA area. I'm just wondering is this a normal price? I feel like just using a space shouldn't be thousands of...

Unfortunately it sucks how much wedding things cost. My fiancé and I couldn’t even imagine paying for a 20-30k wedding. I understand it only happens once but we weren’t willing to go into debt for it! We would rather use the 20k for a down payment on a house!! 😃 I live in Austin Texas and most venues cost from about 3k and up depending on location. My fiancé and I luckily ran into this place right down the street from us she usually only does events and just started weddings. Since she just started out we’re only paying $2,200 for venue, tables, chairs, coordinator, bartender, and she will let us use any decorations that she has in the back! Good luck with planning!

The venue we're considering is $7,500, which includes tables, chairs, greenery for tables, DOC and bistro lighting.
