Vendor Table?

Mia, on August 2, 2018 at 2:39 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11
So I'm a little confused about the vendor table. From what I understand the only vendors I will have to feed are my videographer, photographer, and DJ. I don't have a problem with feeding them; I just don't know where to put them. Am I just supposed to put three people at a little table? We're having an intimate wedding and are using rectangular tables, and the way I planned the room out there's not enough room to mix those three people into the rectangular table seating.

The ones you need to feed are any that will be around for all or a large portion of the reception.

And yes, they can be put at a small table. The idea is that they shouldn't be forced to sit around for hours hungry, watching other people eat, not that they would be socializing with guests.

Ask the venue where they can sit. Vendors usually eat in a back room or somewhere not in your main reception room. Venues also typically offer "vendor" meals which are less expensive than your plated dinner.

My vendors will be eating in the back room, away from the actual function.

Okay, thank you ladies. From what I've been told, these are the only three so far that will be around during the reception. My officiant is my great aunt and will be eating with us, my florist is leaving after she sets ups everything, and hair and make up will be leaving as well. So I won't worry about adding another centerpiece and everything for a separate little table. I'll just have them eat in the back room. Simple!

We are feeding all our full-day vendors. So photographer and assistant, videographer, DJ and day of coordinator. I talked to our caterer, they will go through the buffet line after the guests and eat quickly in the back where the caterer sets up a table.

We have three ballrooms where I work. For the vendors in two of the ball rooms there is space for them to eat a cafe tables away from the ballroom. One of the ballroom does not have seperate spaces, so they may eat at the bar.....or sit on a bench right outside. The photographers usually won't venture far in case they need to capture a photo.

We have a back room set up for vendors where they can leave their belongings and relax while we eat.

Ditto. Our vendors will be eating at the bar in the restaurant while we are in the dining room.

Yes as the others said this is really a question you have to ask your venue. Our vendors will probably have a table in the main area because we hired a band so we would have enough vendors to fill a full sized table. Plus it’s a band we love and see often so I don’t mind them celebrating with the rest of us! But we haven’t decided 100% yet.

Mine will be eating in a small nook next to the kitchen.

I’m so thankful for WW and all of your posts. I don’t think I would have even thought about this!!!! Just added to my list of questions for the venue.
