It depends alot on your location. So you might want to include that information in your post.

What I stayed with is looking at vendor prices in my area. I did a very rough sketch of how many people we would have and went from there.

Eta: oh that thing is way off for my area lol. Almost no one here has a formal out expensive wedding.

For some of my vendor quotes, costofwedding.com were spot on. Some other quotes not so much. Point is the website is a good starting point without having to make 500 phone calls.

Ok yes, I have a starting point now. I have heard good things about Tommy Tunes Dj, Sir Oliver Limo and black dahlia flowers...anyone have prices for them?

It really depends on what your priorities are. Rank the following from most to least important: photographer, florals, DJ, coordinator, decor. If you decide go all out for one just understand that another category will be compromised. Also talk to your fiancé! I ranked these things without asking him then realized we had different opinions. I thought I knew but he surprised me by feeling strongly about florals lol. I live in Southern California and I have had the following range of prices :

Photographer: 2,800-4,900 (2 photographers for 7 hours including engagement photos)

DJ: 2,800-4,300 for 5 hours including equipment and

Floral:2,500-4,000 for ceremony, cocktail, and reception flowers as well as bridal party (guest list of 80).

Here are my prices but keep in mind it's going to be different everywhere. we are getting married at a golf course. we have to use their catering. so for the venue rental for the cemerony, reception, and food it's going to be about $8000 for 150 people for 5 hours. my flower are hopefully going to be about $600. including all wedding party flowers, centerpieces, arch, arch flowers, decorations for the ceremony, flowers for the grandmas, mothers, and fathers. so I got a pretty good deal. my photography is going to be about $2500 for 6 hours. videographer with edited footage about $200 for the whole wedding and reception. my best frjends mom is doing my invitations and cakes. Dj about $300. I believe that is everything. my dress is $699. hope this helps.

You can use the search tools here on WW to locate vendors near you and ask them directly for estimates. You can also read their reviews to decide who is best for you. You will need to be able to provide specific details about your event to get an accurate price.

@Courtney Also don't freak out if the venue and food take up nearly half your budget. For the most part it's normal. Good luck Smiley smile

Hey Courtney just saw your post. I'm getting married in Smithtown (The Watermill) in May 2016 also. I met with Black Dahlia they were a little more expensive than other florists I met with but we really liked them. You should also check out Hidden Essence for florist. We haven't booked limos yet but I've also heard good things about Sir Oliver. Tommy tunes is also raved about. You should join liweddings.com. It's like WW but only for long island brides. There are so many brides on there using these vendors and others.

Hey I'm getting married at the Watermill this May! I haven't been on the forums for a while but I came on to look for average limo costs on Long Island.

I am waiting for a quote back from Sir Oliver, I've heard lots of good things about them as well. I did receive a quote back from Serenity Limo (another vendor Watermill recommends) and they quoted me $1,500 for 4 hours for their 30 passenger party bus or $1,200 for 4 hours for their 22 passenger Escalade.

I went with Flowers by Burton for our florist, I liked that I can have whatever flower I choose and its the same cost. With them I am getting 22 tables (alternating high and low centerpieces and they supply the vases) my bouquet, my MOH bouquet (slightly bigger than bridesmaids bouquets) and 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 bouts, 6 corsages, flower girl petals for $2,800, and again I get to choose whatever flowers I want and its the same cost.

Photography we went with Deja Vu Studios out of Mineola. They are a little more costly but their quality is unbelievable. I love my engagement photos and cannot wait for our wedding pictures. We booked 2 photographers and a videographer through them and it is costing $6,800 but photography was high on our priority list.

Also, if you have any mothers/grandmothers looking for plus size gowns I highly recommend Queen of Hearts in Merrick. They only carry samples in plus sizes so that people can actually try on all their samples not just a few, and the lady who owns it really knows what shes doing and knows what silhouettes work best for different shaped women.

When I hear back from Sir Oliver I'll be sure to pop back on here and let you know what they say! Please feel free to ask me for any other quotes/vendor questions you have Smiley smile

Sir Oliver got back to me, I'll just copy and paste what they said:

    "1 – Party Bus – 3 hours = $1200 holds legally 30 people, comfortably 26

    1 – SUV – 3 hours = $ 900.00 holds legally 20 people comfortably 16

All hourly wedding packages include a complimentary stocked beverage

bar including champagne, aisle runner, bridal horns in all cars, and

    chauffeur in tuxedo.

If you book any of the packages above we will provide you with a pick

up after the wedding in a black Lincoln town car. This would be $50.00

that you would give to the chauffeur at the time of pick up. If you

choose not to use it the night of your wedding you may use it up to 1

year from your wedding to go to or from JFK/ LGA or ISP airport.

All pricing includes the minimum gratuity, and sales tax.

We require a minimum deposit of $20% to secure the contract. You may

make the deposit with a credit card, personal check or cash. The

balance is then due the day of the wedding in cash or a certified

    check."

I asked a few more questions regarding details, like what is minimum gratuity that they stated is included, what is the rate per hour/price if we go over or need another hour (bc we might need 4 hrs), and asked about a coupon I got from going to a bridal showcase at Watermill that states I receive one complimentary pick-up from reception. They haven't answered me yet, I think they hate me and all my questions. haha
