Vendor Insurance?

Tara, on September 4, 2018 at 12:52 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5

We are getting married at the Heart of Texas Ranch in Marble Falls next month and the owner of the venue is asking that all of our vendors include his business in their insurance policies. I purchased wedding insurance and included his business already, so his request seems like overkill to me. Is this a standard thing to ask your vendors?

This is pretty standard actually. Your vendors likely have insurance.

Pretty standard and not a big deal. Reputable businesses will be used to providing a certificate of insurance. It’s good protection for you as well as it adds an additional layer of protection should there be an issue that results in a lawsuit.

This is standard in just about every business where services are rendered at a client location (not just weddings) . Your vendors will know what to do.

This is standard. Your insurance most likely doesn't cover everything your different vendors do. For example, if your florist is hanging greenery from the chandelier and accidentally drops supplies on someone walking below and that person has injuries requiring medical bills, your insurance would probably not cover that situation but your florist's insurance would.
