Vendor didn't show up

Trisha, on September 13, 2020 at 10:45 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12
Hello beautifuls! I have a question. I got married 9.12.2020. The wedding was beautiful and everything was perfect. Except I had paid a rental company for a photo booth. I paid $500 for him to come. I was so upset when my wedding coordinator told me the photo booth had not been delivered. I was and am livid about it.

No call or text messages telling me if there was an emergency. What can I do?

Call the company directly as soon as you can and ask for a refund since they never fulfilled their end of the contract.

Email them so you have a record. If you speak with someone make sure you get the name of who you speak to. Threaten bad yelp review.

Definitely try to get in contact with them to get an explanation and your money back! I would suggest doing both a phone call and email (so it's in writing). I would also write reviews stating that they didn't show up. Other couples looking to book them would probably be interested in that information, so they can find someone else who will show up.

If you paid with credit card I’m sure you can always dispute it.

Did you sign a contract? I would definitely look over that and contact them. If they aren't willing to refund your money, take it to court!

Definitely contact the company. If they have a storefront, I would probably go in person! Tell them what happened and ask (or demand, really) a refund! Make sure you leave an honest review for this vendor here on WW so other brides can avoid this issue.

Update! They called us today and explained what happened. The owner called himself and refunded us our money and offering a free service! Our file got lost with the weddings that got re scheduled 🤷‍♀️. I am just happy we are getting a full refund! Dude was super nice.

How awful and stressful if you were counting on that for pictures of your guests!

Dispute it with your CC company!
If you've reached out multiple times I would recommend taking action with your CC company.

Glad that it all got worked out! Sorry that you weren't able to receive their service that you paid for, but at least they made it right.
