Vendor confirmation

Soon2bMrsSoyka, on February 7, 2016 at 4:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

I booked most of my vendors spring/summer last year. Now I'm 55 days out should I be calling/emailing them just to make sure we are still good or do they do that? Thanks

Yes, absolutely. I would get a wedding day timeline figured out with your venue and then contact vendors and make sure they have times, addresses, all the details etc..

Yep def touch base. We recently had second meetings with the caterer photographer and have it planned with the DJ and our baker. I also am having my hair and make up trial. We got RSVP back from our officiant.

I'll be checking in with vendors a couple months out, then final confirmations the week of.

    Definitely!

-call photographer/videographer to confirm your hours (e.g we booked for 8, we'd like you there 12pm-8pm, here is where photos will be, any other questions)

    - call caterer to confirm cocktail hour and dinner time (e.g. Dinner at 6 so they know when they need to get there to set up, also linen colors, also food options)

-officiant (confirm ceremony time and ceremony wording/readings/vows etc)

    - DJ (confirm start and end time, ceremony music if s/he's doing it, make sure they have the music for your first + other dances)

-venue coordinator (confirm when you can get in to set up, hours you have the venue day of, where you can get ready & let them know the times your various vendors will be arriving)

    - Floral (confirm time and location of delivery)

    - cake (determine time and location of delivery, make sure venue is open for them)

I would definitely confirm with them. Do you have a DOC? They will probably reconfirm with them a couple weeks before, as well. At least I know mine will be.

I would for sure! It would be terrible to assume that someone has it covered and there is a miscommunication... no harm in checking in

Yes I would definitely confirm with your vendors. Do you have a planner or a DOC? You need to figure out a time line for all your vendors set up, etc.
