Veils or no veils?

How many of you lovely ladies are going to wear veils? If you’re wearing one, are you having it custom made or just picking one from the store?

I wore a Cathedral train and loved it the only down side to it was it pulled my head back often when walking and I ended up taking it off before the reception.

I’m wearing a champagne colored cathedral length veil that I got from Amazon. Will take it off for the reception and picked champagne because my wedding dress is similar to mauve.

Here’s my dress. This picture is from the website. I am terrible at taking “selfie’s” so I’ll try to post one from the wedding.

I love it it’s just the look I was searching for, a high low hem so it’s got the illusion of a train but doesn’t actually touch the ground (which given we are getting married on the beach weather permitting) I feel is a good thing! (I’m 5’6-7” so if I was shorter it might touch but I can wear flip flops & it doesn’t touch)

This is beautiful! Both the story & your grandmother! I decided just today to wear my mother’s diamond pendant which was created with the center diamond from my grandmother’s engagement ring after she passed away (it’s almost 100 years since my grandparents were married). My Mom gave it to me a year or so before she passed so I’ll have both of them close to my heart on my wedding day.

I didn't wear one for my minimony, but I will be wearing one for my big reception. I bought it from David's Bridal

I didn’t think I was going to, but trying on dresses I put one on for the “full effect” and fell in love! It’s also a little dramatic while my dress is very simple so it’s now a must for me. Still deciding on if I want to wear it for our first look, or to for that extra surprise down the aisle.

I’m wearing one. It’s cathedral length and I bought it off of Amazon for under $20. I wanted something light and simple but the bridal shops wanted $200+ for the same veil. Amazon has EVERYTHING!

Custom made on Etsy! SO much cheaper than the ones I found in store!

I'm choosing not to wear one. It wouldn't be covering my face so I personally feel like it just seems silly to have it. Also, I have long hair that will be mostly down and curled which is FH's favorite so I'd rather not have my hair covered.

I am personally not wearing a veil, I wasn't apposed to the idea until I picked my dress and a veil covered up too many of the details and just didn't look right with all the lace. Plus we are getting married outside and I didn't want to have to worry about the weather/wind.

I'm only wearing one because my mother bought it for me at our appt together. I would have rather waited to order or opt for a bejeweled comb (short pixie hair). I honestly think overpriced veils are a money trap and fully plan to gift to another bride.

I’m wearing one that I bought online from JJ’s House for about $35. It’s cathedral length and matches a similar one I saw on David’s Bridal for $200

I haven’t even started dress shopping yet, my wedding is in april. But I know I want a cathedral length veil. I’m glad for this post though! Options in case I don’t wanna go broke at the bridal shop!

I’m not wearing a veil - the back of my gown is the reason I chose it so I don’t want to cover it… but I do love the look of a veil.. I’ve been back and forth about it for a while and decided against it..

I'm not wearing a veil (40 years old and 2nd wedding) this time. I plan to go dramatic and get a cape instead.

I will be wearing one 😃 The place that I ordered my dress from gifted me one since I found them at a wedding expo I attended. I was able to choose one from their store ❤️
