Veil

Hey ladies, I need your opinions! I fell in love with a cathedral lace veil that goes perfect with my dress, but it’s $500, is that way to crazy expensive or worth it for my big day? TIA

I don’t think the price is crazy but I’d shop around. You could probably get one for $300-$350

I bought my exact dress and veil online from someone who bought 2 dresses changing their mind....it was a fluke I'm sure but I saved $700 by looking around first. Just a thought. Tags still on both items I purchased

Hi, it all depends on your priorities. I'd just think what I would do with a $500 veil after the wedding.

I got my cathedral length, beaded edge veil from a bridal consignment shop for $70! The lady said it was never worn.
Shop around. You may find the same one cheaper or one very similar.

Mine eould've been 400 I believe but I got it free with my dress as a promo that month! Thay are goregeous but it is an expense depenxing on your budget. Remember you may be able to buy a resale or rent one and you only wear it for an hour of ceremony

I personally wouldn’t spend that much on a veil, as you can find them cheaper and just as nice. I have a beautiful cathedral length veil that I got online from JJshouse for $30. Great quality and I love it!

    Nicole,
Although I personally think the veil is pricey, all honestly if you think it will be worth it, them get it. It's for your big day!!

I fell in love with one that was $800 and I couldn’t do it. Then found one for $300... still couldn’t because I’ll wear it like maybe an hour? I found the perfect sheer 120” cathedral veil raw edge for $175! I’d shop around if I were you!

I was originally looking on www.stillwhite.com. Then, my MOH found my exact dress on FB Marketplace 30 miles away with tags still on it. The lady decided on a different dress. I "haggled" a little with her. She just wanted it gone from her closet so her loss was my gain. There were some beautiful gowns on the website though and I was ready to buy one until she found my exact dress Smiley smile

I also found a jeweled sash on wish for $20. It is actually prettier than the $200 one I tried on in the bridal salon....it pays to shop around. At least for me, I prefer to spend my money on the honeymoon and not on something I will wear a few hours. Smiley smile

Check out Etsy, I was going to order one from there but now I’m going to be purchasing a cathedral length veil from a local seamstress for about $120!

That seems to be what I’ve seen on cathedral veils. If it’s in your budget I say go for it!

For one day I feel like that is super pricey. I see Tons all the time that are really pretty but also reasonably priced.
