I went with a mantilla lace veil because of the theme and venue of the wedding but it will be coming off for the reception

@Natalie. Thanks so much. I was sooo happy our photographer did this. This was one or the main reasons I wanted a cathedral length veil.

Natalie- I am right there with you! I get so frustrated at looking online for them. and ones i LOVE im not spending $200 or so on it. Finally the other day I found one on eBay for $13 that was ok. So we shall see when it gets here.

I'm doing a winter wedding and I have a faux fur wrap I'm using so that limited my veil options. Veils of any length wouldn't really work without bunching on the wrap, so I went with a birdcage veil. Plus I have always loved the look of them! I have one with a little fascinator decoration on it. I don't have a good picture of the veil, but one of the back of the dress with the wrap, with a glimpse of the birdcage veil.

Oh wow, love all the pics of all these beautiful veils. Im now even more confused haha. BUT, Married MyTrue Love may have convinced me into having two veils. One for the aisle and the shorter one to walk around inSmiley laugh

I've always loved the Cathedral length veils. I also like the vintage look of a birdcage veil. I know they are two extremes.

My dress doesn't really have a train, slight train, but definitely not dramatic. I tried on a royal length veil (longer than a Cathedral-- I think it's about 108" long around 10 ft.) and I LOVED IT. It was $400 though. My mom convinced me to get it made back home in my country for cheaper since my grandmother was going for a visit. The length will add the drama that my dress doesn't have when I walk down the aisle. I also wanted one whole piece veil (mantilla style? no added blusher, the front piece I will just use as a blusher). I actually just got pictures this morning! They still need to sew the Swarovski crystals in it.

I might still get a birdcage for the reception.

I did not want a veil, but I knew my mom wanted me to have one. So I wore it for the ceremony and it matched my dress perfectly! And since we did a first look, it added a little surprise when I walked down.

I also brought my veil and did some boudoir shots with it!
