I wish I had gone with a cathedral length veil, but I'm not sure it would have looked great with my ballgown dress. They long veils just look so incredible for photos!

I had a fingertip length veil. I got it because the detail match my dress pretty perfectly. It was a single tier, and I wanted a blusher, so I had the seamstress just add another layer of tulle. I was very happy with the result because it gave a fuller look.

I LOOOOVE my long veil, it came with my dress and it really sold me on the dress too! If you want a long veil you could always sell your mid length one, but I'm sure that would also look nice. It's whatever makes you feel most like a bride! (First pic is from my first fitting of my actual white dress, second and third pic is the sample one in ivory).

This is the one they put on me for my mom. I did not want a veil. But now I am in loves!

I started out reallllyyyy wanting a birdcage veil. I bought one and didn't care for it, and then I tried to make one and didn't care for it either. I finally bought a chapel length veil from Etsy, and I love it. Unfortunately I don't have as much invested as you, though. =/ Maybe you could sell your Spanish veil if you find one you like better. I don't see any harm in looking around if you aren't completely happy with the veil you chose.

I started out wanting no veil and wound up with a 2-tier waltz length veil.

I don't have any photos of it, but I purchased a cathedral length veil on Etsy from "ABusyMother". I LOVE IT and it was only $30.

If you are second guessing your viel and can swing the $$, just purchase one from her- she's wonderful!

I originally wanted a chapel length train, but didn't want the fuss of having it hanging on the floor and having to adjust it all the time. So I ended up with a waltz length that ends where my trumpet style dress curves out for the train - with a second layer to add fullness to the small of the back. I LOVE it!

I think a long veil would be too difficult to walk around in. Mine is mid-length. Here's the stock photo.

I think mine is what's called a fingertip length veil. Not positive but I'm guessing.

Mines elbow length. I think long veils are beautiful, but when I tried them on with my dress I liked the shorter one better. I'm on mobile or I'd post a picture.

Same as Julie, I purchased a waltz length, petal cut, single tier, pencil edge veil because I wanted it to stop where my fit and flare gown flares out in back. I haven't tried it on together yet. I also purchased a chapel length, pencil edge veil in case I decide I want a longer length.

I'm doing a birdcage veil, seems anything longer will get in my way. Not to mention my hair is so thick, it would take a lot to keep a long veil in.

I have a long chapel length veil with some lace detailing. My only regret is that I let my mom talk me into getting it when I could have just borrowed a friend's chapel length veil for free. That 200 bucks could have gone somewhere else!

My first marriage I wore my mother's dress and veil. It was a long cathedral length veil since the dress had no train. It was pretty for photos but dreadfully heavy and I constantly worried it would catch on something in the aisle or someone would accidentally step on it and jerk me backwards. This time I'm going with a shorter 15" veil. Single layer with beading on the bottom hem to keep it down from wind gusts. Haven't gotten it yet but that's what I'm picturing.

Mine is a chapel length vintage hand embroidered drop veil. My other veil is a vintage all lace catherdral length mantilla. I much prefer the chapel length, it's long while still being manageable. I personally would not want a shorter veil since I find long veils to be very romantic.

I'm all for short veils. I like birdcage and blusher veils. I made this one last night and I think it's the one!

    edit: stupid sideways picture...

Got mine a week ago. Don't have a pic with my dress, but I love it.

It has pearls and beads on it.

My something borrowed will be my aunts cathedral length veil. I will be making a birdcage veil inspired fascinator though for the reception to mix it up!
