Okay everyone, so I went to a bridal store yesterday to try on veils and also to look at the hair pieces and tiaras..and noticed the price being over $200..actually between $200-400! Does that sound like a lot for a veil to be over $200? This veil I was looking at didn't have much to it! In fact it...

Question..Does anyone know anywhere where you can get a nice veil for cheap?? I am on a budget here! =)

Scary thought- but try Craig's List. Take someone with you or meet the person in a public place, but then you can see it before you buy it, it was probably used once for a couple hours and it's A LOT cheaper for a good quality veil.

My mom is making mine. Thank God for crafty moms!

Haven't read any of the other comments, but yeah, veil prices are ridiculous in briadal stores, especially when they aren't hard to make whatsoever. My sister made mine in under an hour. It turned out better than some of the ones I've seen in DB for over $100. A little tulle, (there's two types, the stiff ones and the silkyish ones,) a small hair comb, some white thread, and anything else you want to add to it.

Www.forprincessbride.com ! All veils shipped with free veil hanger and free gift; cathedral starting at $65! You don't want your tiara to look cheap, but it doesn't have to be expensive, either! You'll find some at $50-$60 & up, totally gorgeous! Enjoy!

We got ours from a local consignment store, when it was having a half price sale. Both of them were quite intricate in design, and were under $100. The first is mine, and the second is NotFroofy's.

Considering you can get a yard of chiffon for around $10- yeah, they WAY overcharge. I had some organza from another project so my mom is using that to make me a veil. I may glue some rhinestones on it...not sure yet.

Like 2d Bride said - my niece is getting hers from a bridal shop that also sells consignment items. She found a dress similar to one she saw at Davids for $500 (not expensive, but is on her tight budget!) for under $300 including all alterations. The veils were under $75 for even the crystal edged ones. Shop around :-)

I purchased my veil from an Ebay store and absolutely LOVE IT! If I can think of the name, or find it again, I will post it on here! I paid less than $20 for it. It is super soft material, satin edging with Swarovsky (sp) crystals scattered on it. It also has a wire comb which I have been told, is better than plastic, because you can bend it to shape and fit your head/hair better! It's also an elbow length. But longer on me(more like fingertip length) since I am like 5 feet tall! Lol!

I ordered mine through eBay and love it! It was under $20 with the shipping.

Many of the chain bridal salons charge really high prices for their accessories! They sell thier dresses cheap, because they make a killing on the accessories! Tiaras, veils, sashes, shoes, and those damn bras!

They wanted me to pay $70 for a damn bra... Um, no thanks!

I bought a DB tiara used on eBay for $30 after shipping. It was worn once... less often than the ones in the store!

I bought a simple, ribbon edged veil too.

Shop around! You'll find a better selection and much much better pricing online!
