Veil or no veil?

Michelle, on October 29, 2020 at 4:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 38

I keep going back and forth. Was wondering if anyone else is choosing not do a veil? Would love to hear! 🤍

I wasn’t going to and then when they put one on with my dress at the bridal shop I quickly changed my mind. It just made the whole look change

Likewise! I was so anti veil initially too until they put it on me! As soon as the ceremony is over though I’m taking it right off.

I wasn’t planning to, and actually planning on cape veil because it looks sooo graceful to me. However the cape veil doesn’t suit my short height at all. It makes me look even shorter. The bridal shop put a veil on me and I was speechless I cried. It makes me look like a bride.

I wasn’t planning on a veil, hadn’t even considered it. Just planned on having my hair in a loose, sexy braid with some baby’s breath & a tiara. However, looking at those awesome photo ops with veils, I’m now choosing to wear one just for the ceremony & pics after. I will take it off for the reception.

Yes, and I didn’t get that wow feeling. :/ maybe it was because my hair wasn’t done lol. I love veils in pictures so that’s why I’m torn.

Given the overall style of our wedding, I’m wearing a simple birdcage veil and flowers in my hair for the ceremony. After dinner (when I change dresses) I’m going to remove the veil and only keep the flowers.

Yeah, I mean As far as walking down the aisle goes, I just feel like it gives the dress train the added vavoom from behind. Haha but you could also even do just a small little rhinestone clip or even one of those bridal headbands if you’re into those.Good luck!

I’m wearing my mom’s veil for the ceremony and taking it off for the reception! I got a jeweled hair comb to put in instead.

I hadn’t planned on wearing a veil. As a of matter fact, I didn’t even like them when they tried putting them on me at the boutique when I got my dress. But then I found a company that would customize a veil for me, and I just couldn’t help myself. Now I am really glad I got it because I think I would regret not having those epic veil pictures. It sounds like you are a fan of veils. Maybe you just haven’t tried on the right one yet!
Or, if you’re like me, it takes me a little while to warm up to something new. When they first put a veil on me I thought I looked weird in LOL Maybe go somewhere else and try on a bunch more in all different styles and lengths. The more you see them on yourself, the more you get used to it and the more normal it looks.

I wanted the token veil photo. So I wore a veil for some of our photos, but I did not wear one for our ceremony. We got married outdoors and I think a veil for outdoor weddings is unnecessary. The last thing I wanted was the wind to blow and my veil get stuck on my face or lipstick.

I'm not going to wear a veil. Heck, I'm not even wearing a "normal" wedding gown.
