I wore a veil because I feel like it completes the bridal look. Plus what other day in your life can you wear a veil?

I was not going to wear a veil and then when i tried it on with my dress it just felt complete with it 😊 plus you can wear it for the ceremony and then take it off at the reception!

At first I decided I didn’t want a veil. Then I decided yes... and I bought a few to figure out what kind and length. I went for the drama... a cathedral length veil with scattered pearls. And I hand-dyed my veil using a Rit dye tutorial for extra ombré appeal and touch of color (my something blue). It is very mermaid-esque since I’m by the ocean. I am so excited for the big reveal!

I'm going with no veil for a few reasons:
    1. I love the back of my dress and want to show it off. I'm even having my hair done like in the picture to make sure it's seen.Veil or no veil 5

    2. My FH loves my long auburn hair and did not want it covered. My hair color is almost identical to this picture as well.3. I thought it took away from my dress and yet made it "too much" for me when I tried a veil on with it. It was a weird combo that just didnt look or feel right.

I always vote veil, but I ended up buying four in my quest for finding the one I wanted. There are so many shapes and styles, and they always seem to complete that bridal look. Your dress is gorgeous - I would at least consider a sheer veil, maybe fingertip length.

Yes ma’am, definitely a veil. Like others have stated, I feel like it makes you feel like a bride.

I was going back and forth about a veil too. I decided to go with a short one with simple details. I am also wearing a headband to still have a statement piece for the reception.

Yes, I just keep going back and forth on if I want one... the back of my dress is so flattering and I dont know if I want to cover all of the buttons going down it... I may do what some are saying and wear one only for the ceremony, but again, then not everyone's going to see those buttons because itll be pinned up for the reception so people dont step on it... such a delema! LOL

I’m wearing a birdcage veil. Our venue’s decor has a 1920’s vintage lounge feel. Since we’re slightly playing on that style a bit, the birdcage was more fitting. This is also my second marriage and I did the extra long cathedral length veil the first time, so (even before selecting our venue) I knew that I wouldn’t be wearing a standard veil because it wasn’t something that i pictured for myself this time.

I always feel that if a decision is a struggle that requires convincing in the opposite direction, then you already know what you want. No need in being coaxed otherwise based on the reasons of others. Go with your gut and what initially feels right with how you envision yourself.

I have a similar dress. It shows a lot of my back. I wasn't going to have a veil but then decided it would be nice for the ceremony so I feel less exposed.

I skipped veil in favor of a headpiece. I tried a veil and it didn't look good on me. So I would just go to a bridal salon and try out different hair accessories

Personally I think that your dress would be beautiful with a veil!! If you’re not sold on a veil you could look at some other options. I am wearing a full cape (you can see it on my profile), and a really elaborate antique hair piece. I have my sisters old veil that I’m going to use for some photos just because I want to have those pictures. You could always get an inexpensive one on Etsy or amazon or something just to see if you like the look? There’s also those cape like things that attach to your shoulders, not sure what they’re called lol, but you could see if you’d like those!

I'd recommend buying one (you get a simple one second-hand) and if you don't feel like wearing it on the day-of, then you don't have to. But better to buy than to regret not having one.

If you’re not comfortable with a veil a veil cape is a great idea! They’re gorgeous.

I personally don't like veils, but I do think it would look very nice with your dress. Do whatever you feel is right!
