veil or no veil with flower crown

LaurenMarie, on December 23, 2014 at 4:26 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

I LOVE the look of a flower crown. But I also want the traditional veil. My veil is a two tiered elbow length veil. and i attached the picture of the flower crown that I want. My hair will be up, somewhat similar to the hair in the picture, just a little more formal... Can I have the best of both worlds and pull of wearing them together if i wear my veil VERY low, or should i just wear the veil and then take it off and wear a flower crown for the reception??

I was skeptical, but then I did a google image search for "flower crown and veil" and found a TON of beautiful pictures of the two being worn together.

    I think it will work!

I think that a low veil with that picture would look pretty.

I would do both and wear the veil low and to the back of your head and definitely not over your face. Wearing the crown later without the veil would also work but I wouldn't discourage you from wearing both.

Suddenly I need this veil.... but who on earth could afford to spend $2,300 on a piece of tulle?

I would talk to your florist about this maybe she has some cheaper ideas. Hoestly I would DIY that but that's because my boss is my florist and i know she would help me instead of spending that ridiculous amount of money on tulle lol.

I think a low veil would look really pretty with something like this. I would go for a lightweight veil to keep the look airy.

My cousin's (now) wife wore a flower crown with a veil and blusher for their wedding and looked absolutely gorgeous. It wasn't attached so she wore the flower crown the reception even though she took off the veil.

I am doing the same as you, but my hair will be down. I am just diying a simple cathedral veil since I have lots of bridal tulle for free. I am putting it low underneath my crown. I am putting the veil on a comb so I can easily take it off after the ceremony. Like this http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/1200x/c3/e9/24/c3e92497e4d729abbd167107115dfa21.jpg

I like it combined! Maybe you can DIY it? The tulle part at least? That is outrageous to buy, but very pretty Smiley smile

Im in this same predicament!! I think im going to do a very sheer 1 layer veil. I dont want it covering my face so will just have it on a comb at the back eith under the crown or covering a portion of it. Its hard to find pics of anything similar so im aware it may look weird. If it does ill just ditch the veil.

Very pretty! I think it's definitely a go.

But yeah, I would definitely try DIYing part of it as suggested? $2,300 is ridiculous.

The two doesn't clash with each other, both together are OK, and I think put down your hair may be better.
