Veil or no veil... and if you choose a veil - will you wear it over your face when you walk down the isle?

As a future bride, I'm doing my research! I see pics of brides primarily -- in a veil, and are "un-veiled" - even when walking down the isle. More modern brides aren't even wearing veils these days. 1) Are you going to wear veil? If so, will it cover your face walking down the isle? 2) If you wear...

1) Are you going to wear veil? If so, will it cover your face walking down the isle?

2) If you wear a veil but will not cover your face while walking down the isle - why not?

3) If you are choosing not to wear a veil - what is the reason?

I'm undecided, honestly - but I like to hear what is trending.

I wore a fingertip length veil for the ceremony but I did not have a blusher covering my face. I’ve honestly never seen that in real life and didn’t realize anyone still did that.

I was thinking about that too, Lauren... my wedding is in the evening. I'd like to see my face in pictures.

RIght? People do... I was at a wedding this Feb. and the (young) bride was veiled down. It made me research more ...seeing just pictures, it's hard to find so I thought I would ask what's trending.

I bought a veil but it will not cover my face because I don't want to get make up on it and also I don't like things over my face.

I am doing a headband and no veil. i for whatever reason just did not like the look of a veil. however i do see people wear those long cathedral type veils and love the dramatic look. i have tried one on before and just did not like it

I plan to wear a veil, but not over my face. That’s a little too traditional for my taste and I can’t stand things over my face anyway! Lol

My little birdcage veil is front and center in the pic, it has some pearls on it as well. I don't think I'll wear it over my face because like other people said - makeup!!! Plus the material is kinda itchy.

I originally was not into a veil and then my mother and FMOL asked if I could "just try it on," and so I did, and it looked so good, and they started to cry so I bought it. No blusher, I don't want anything clouding my vision as I'm walking down the aisle, I want to see my FH perfectly. And after our first dance, it will come off.

I always imagined a cathedral length veil, but I ended up going for a shorter, two tiered one with horse hair trim because my dress also has the same trim and they just went. I did go to a wedding recently and it was outdoor and the bride wore a cathedral length veil with crystals on the end and I kept seeing it get caught up on the floor so I’m good with my decision. I’m undecided about whether or not I’ll be wearing the blusher over my face yet. If it’s windy than probably not cause I’m worried it’ll get stuck to my lipstick lol.

I will be wearing a veil over my face. It isn't too long because i didn't want it to take away from my dress. I think it is such a beautiful moment that I don't want to miss out on.
