Veil on the beach?

Heather, on May 28, 2019 at 10:49 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Has anyone successfully worn a veil in a beach wedding?
I'd love to get one, but I keep seeing stories about veils flying off or being in the bride's face the whole time. Not sure if it'd be worth the hassle.

    Hi there Heather!

If you're afraid of these things happening, and you would love to wear one, you could always choose a blusher length veil (to the shoulders), an elbow-length veil, or a birdcage, which may be easier to manage Smiley smile

Also, a veil blowing in the wind can make for some gorgeous photos, check out below!!

Depending on what way the wind is blowing, you could ask your FS to switch sides at the top of the aisle Smiley xd

Thanks! That's exactly what I was thinking of! Did you have to do anything extra to keep it in place or was the comb enough to hold it?

I like the idea of making him switch sides haha. I tried on a blusher and am thinking a shoulder or elbow length is what I want. Thanks for the suggestions!

I am not getting married on the beach but we are having an outdoors ceremony. All the advice I have received has been to get a veil with some weight to end of it to keep it from flipping around. I'm looking at veils with some kind of beading or heavier lace to keep it in place.

Ahhhhhh I'm still so undecided! I want one, but then we did our engagement pictures outside and my hair was blowing everywhere so I'm kind of rethinking it.
    Stay tuned!

I am debating this too. I want to go full cathedral because my train is gorgeous on my gown, and then I can also have my MOH hold the veil down in case of severe wind.

Pictures are so pretty with long veils! I think I'm going to get one from Amazon and if nothing else use it for pictures after the ceremony.
