So I’ve hit the point in my whole wedding look where it’s time for me to pick out a veil. I’ve narrowed it down to two options!

So I know I want fingertip length, so that’s what both of these are. My dress has a layer of glitter tulle underneath a lace layer(I’ll attach other pics are the end!), so I feel like the glitter tulle veil is a fun and simple addition to that and it doesn’t call away any attention from the dress itself. I can get this for about $50 from David’s bridal.

My other find was a gold flaked veil! Now I love this because I feel like it would look great against my hair color(an Auburn) and it also goes with our wedding colors. This one however is about $200 on Etsy and I can’t justify spending that much on a veil. I could DIY this, I’m an artist and avid crafter, already DIYing a lot of our wedding—for maybe about $30-40. My biggest concern with this is that I’ll do this and hate how it looks in my wedding photos. Since I’m already DIYing a lot of the wedding I’m not sure I want to DIY my own look.

I’m just very torn because I love both, and I’m sure if I put a lot of work into making it myself I would love it, but I’m just very conflicted—so maybe you guys can help me figure it out!

Here are photos of my first try on when my dress came in! Hopefully it helps with the veil visual. I’ve tried on some lace trimmed veils but I haven’t been quite happy with them, so honestly I’m even open to other suggestions. I’m trying to go for an ethereal look.

Haha it’s all good! I still really appreciate this a lot! I definitely feel like I’m saving myself a headache!

Now I just have to wait for it come!

I think the first one would go well with the dress and show off its simplicity and beauty. The only way i'd wear the second one is if i was going to bling up the dress with a shiny belt and lots of jewelry.
