Veil Help!!!

Samantha, on April 28, 2020 at 12:19 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 23

I fell in love with a veil during my dress appointment but can't see paying $150 for a piece of tulle with some gems on it. Where did you guys get your veils for a decent price! I added a picture of the veil I fell for for inspiration.

Amazon! At the bridal salon, they gave me a veil with some beaded edging that cost $200 to try on. No way was I going spend that. I found almost the exact same thing on Amazon for about $30 but then found one I liked even more for $50.

I bought mine for $200 (-$50 for buying at the same day as my dress) at the bridal shop. Worse decision ever! I was tooooo happy finding my dress and I was buying it emotionally 🤦🏻‍♀️

There are many online shop selling them for cheap with a decent review.

I had a long engagement and I decided to just pay the $150. I had a cheap veil that I started to hate and felt like it was worth it to get the perfect one.

I bought mine at Amazon as well for less than $50! It was cathedral length, good quality and already comes with a comb.

I am wearing my fiance's sisters veil. If she didn't offer it I would not be wearing one. I can't justify spending so much on a piece of tulle.

Amazon!! My friend got her cathedral length veil for like $25, it was stunning and literally looked the same as one you’d get in the boutique for $200. I haven’t ordered mine yet until I get my dress to determine what length I want, but I’m definitely doing amazon!

I got EXTREMELY lucky with my veil. There was a Macy’s that was closing down near me and I saw on Facebook that they had tons of bridal items on sale. So I went and found a $200 veil for $30. Before I heard about that, I had looked on JJ’s House because someone on this forum recommended them.

There are a lot of websites that sale pre-owned veils if you're interested in recycling someone else's dream veil. Just search in google. You might be able to find one locally that you can go and see in person, otherwise I recommend making sure that they have a return policy.

I pay a little over $100 for mine and honestly regretting it because I didn't want a veil to begin with but I was just hung up on the emotion of it all and seeing it at the appt was unlike anything I could have imagined. If I were to go back and do it again, I wouldn't buy it (even if it did match my dress perfectly) and go with a cheaper one from Amazon or Etsy

I was just checking Ebay... I decided not to go with a veil, but I was looking at them because I was on the fence lol. I had no idea how expensive they were!! Best of luck!

It looks like I'm the outlier here but I spent $250 on my veil. A year prior, my best friend bought her veil from Etsy and it ripped right down the middle about an hour before the ceremony started. So I wasn't going to take any chances...That being said, I'm certainly confident that you can find a wonderful veil on Etsy or Amazon--just make sure to read the reviews before buying. Any product with less than 20 reviews, I'd avoid.

Have you checked Etsy? My planner told me to check them out and I pretty much found everything they had in the bridal store and then some. TBH...The girl who helped me in the bridal store also told me about Etsy for my bridal accessories...garter belt and veil. She said they had more options, and they did.

That is absolutely pretty... I went on Amazon and found mine for $8 not sure if I'm wearing one but I found a simple cute one just in case. I will only be wearing it for about an hour at the most so I wasn't about to sink a lot of money into it...
