Kris, on May 21, 2020 at 2:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

Did you guys wear your veil during your reception or did you just wear it for the ceremony?

My veil is cathedral length so I'm only wearing it for pictures and for the ceremony. Smiley smile

I’m also planning on wearing it just for pictures and the ceremony!

I am going to wear it for my ceremony and photos, possibly will wear it during our first dance but haven’t decided on that yet.

As a guest, nearly every bride I have seen has worn her (long) veil for the duration of the reception. But it's entirely personal preference.

Only wore it for the ceremony and pictures. I wore a cathedral veil and did a full choreographed first dance— I couldn’t imagine dancing with that on. And I would have been worried about people accidentally stepping on it during the reception and dancing.

I’ve never seen anyone wear a floor length veil during the reception before.

I ditched mine once we were done with pictures after the ceremony, and was happy to do so - it got in my way and was fairly annoying!

I’ve never seen a bride keep her veil on after the ceremony. Mine was only fingertip length and it was still constantly getting in the way. Took it off as soon as we were done with pictures and went to cocktail hour.

For first look photos and ceremony only. But we both changed into separate reception outfits during cocktail hour.

I plan on leaving mine on for at least part of the reception. I made my veil and I think it turned out beautifully! I want to enjoy it as long as I can. It might come off maybe midway through the reception, we'll have to see.

Not married yet but my veil is about fingertip/elbow length depending on where it sits in my hair. I'm adding flowers to my veil that match my bouquet and other flowers and since its small I'm probably going to keep it on, but who knows until the day of lol.

I had a cathedral veil so I only wore it for the reception, but if I had a shorter one I probably wouldve worn it longer

My daughter is planning on wearing her elbow length veil the entire night.

She said she paid way too much for it to not too.

The hair stylist is styling it right along with her hair toward the back (it will not cover her face).

Great question. I plan on wearing mines for the ceremony only. It's too dramatic to wear all night

I did make mine. It wasn't hard. Just time consuming. Did beading around the edges by hand. It is a ballet/waltz length. Cost around $12 to make.
