Veil Bustle help!

My cousin had hers bustled and it looked pretty but once she started REALLY dancing it came apart and the veil got torn and everything I dont think I am bustling mine - I think I will wear it for the mass and maybe my first dance but after that take it off.

What are you doing with it during your first dance? Mine is cathedral length, so if I want to dance in it I have to do something.

I will probably bustle it during the first dance but take it off after. I saw two of my friends, who both had cathedral, have horrible times with theirs once they started really dancing later on in the reception so I think its fine to bustle as long as you arent a big dancer or you take it easy i believe my cousins was bustled just using a pin or clip (which came loose and fell out hence her veil getting ruined)

I'm planning to bustle my cathedral veil I'm going to sew a few loops into the veil and corresponding hooks on the veil comb. It bustles up to about fingertip length. I LOVE THIS LOOK! So excited!

How did the loops and hooks work? I am getting married in May and was hopping to keep my cathedral veil on at least till most of the dancing started???
