Vegan Cake Opinion

If it tastes good it wouldnt be a problem to have a vegan cake for all of the guests. I would want to do a tasting of it before the wedding though. A friend of mine had a bakery make a vegan cake for her due to her allergies, and she said it was so dry and instead opted for a regular cake that she didn't eat herself. Another friend is gluten intolerant and at her wedding they had a small grooms cake. The grooms cake was the gluten free one and the larger cake was the regular cake.

When it comes to baked goods, if you’re going with a baker who knows what they’re doing then your guest won’t even know it’s vegan!

I will tell you what i told my fiancé...everything at my wedding will be vegan!! If people know about it they can suck it up, or leave. But i am not going to go around telling people “HEY EVERYTHING IS VEGAN!!” Stand with your beliefs and have it be vegan. Do not get two cakes

Not at all. If you've ever had vegan cake (at least the kind that's made right), there's no difference. It's incredibly easy to make a cake vegan, and nobody would even know unless you told them. Why make a vegan 'option' alongside a non-vegan cake when you could just make one big cake that's vegan, tastes amazing and satisfies everyone? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I don’t think this is against etiquette. If people ask you can mention it’s vegan but it would probably not even come up. I’d be more concerned for vegans who wouldn’t be able to eat the cake because it isn’t vegan. But vegan cake would be able to suit everybody! I’m vegan and haven’t decided on type of cake we’re offering yet since I didn’t impose an all vegan menu and only included vegan options. The cake shop also has an upcharge for vegan cake where were looking.
