Hi! I am considering using Lily & Lime's photography & videography services. I know they are a fairly new company and in previous posts (year a half ago or older) people have cautioned against using them because of their online-only system/use of free-lance photographers. Does anyone have any updated experiences with this? What's the current consensus?

It's not even the RAW files they're keeping though. It's just the negatives and it's being kept by the people who did NOT take the photos. The photographer sent this company 7000 photos, they (I guess) choose which ones to edit and then they handle the editing of the photos someone else took. They advertise that you receive your "digital negatives" yet never specify how many you receive anywhere. Not in the package, not in the contract. I was under the impression I'd at least receive all of the negatives and then the ones they edited would be print quality. I was satisfied with that because I figured if there was one I wish had been edited, I could request and pay them to edit it, or I could figure it out myself. Not for publishing or even posting anywhere of course because that's against the contract. But now I'm being told that to receive any of the unedited photos, I need to pay $250 on top of the $1300 ish I've already given to them.

And I know it's not the RAW photos they'd provide, because that was a conversation I had earlier where in order to receive all of the RAW files, I'd have to pay an additional $2000.00. The photographer also let me know that he sends over the files in a compressed either jpeg or pdf, I don't remember but I believe it's a jpeg. I imagine 7000 RAW files would be a LOT of information and not easily transferrable. IDK.
