Update!

So our wedding was suppose to be August 22nd of this year but with everything going on we have postponed. With this though we have changed our date because we did not want to get married on a Sunday next year so we emailed our venue and they only had three Saturday dates so now I am a June bride!! The most wonderful part is that even though we postponed our “ceremony” and reception we are still getting eloped this year on June 12th which moves up my original wedding date by two months! I am super excited I still get to marry my best friend but most certainly under different circumstances than I thought but I am still grateful and happy! We just have more time to plan and save! How are you guys doing?

Congrats! We were in a similar situation as yall, originally had a November 2020 date but we decided to change after discussing how it is important to us to have our elderly family there to celebrate, and we would not want to put them at any sort of danger. We hope everything will be figured out and a vaccine available by November, but we weren't willing to take that risk. I will be sad on our original wedding date but I'm excited about now being a June bride! If only I hadn't already started buying pumpkins for the fall decorations! Are your families supportive of the decision to postpone the celebration?

    Hi Abby,

This is definitely a crazy stressful and uncertain time for everyone! I'm so happy you get to elope before your reception next year.

There are a ton of June brides also talking about their Covid-19 concerns in these discussions:

    June 2020 brides: freaking out?

June and July Brides do not stress Covid-19!!!

I'm so sorry you had to change your plans, but I'm so glad you've locked down a new date!! BOpClAR83wqJF1bFtFERgypV_BICZsbBvwcIMhTa

Stay positive and hang in there!!
