Hey everyone! I've been a little MIA lately because work has been crazzzzzy! But now the wedding is just around the corner! Hey everyone! I've been a little MIA lately because work has been crazzzzzy! But now the wedding is just around the corner! I tried my dress on last week and I still wish it sucked me in a little more around the middle! I am a thin girl (5'4", 120 lbs) but I still have a bit of a pooch on my lower tummy area. I tried on some shapewear at Macy's over the weekend but I didn't feel like anything sucked me in enough... Does anyone have suggestions on shapewear that is good for smaller sizes? I have a mermaid/trumpet dress so the seams can't be really obvious. I was thinking of a short-shorts style with the tummy part that goes right under the bust. Any suggestions?

Following! I have 2 pair I wear regularly: one sucks me in a little more and is shorter in the legs but because the material is thicker they roll in the thighs. The other one is much thinner material and the legs are considerably longer, so they're more comfortable. I think I'll definitely try to find some with a longer inseam.

    I hadn't thought about peeing!!

I used to be 5'4 and 106 lbs and I still had that damn pooch. Now that I'm 190 and still 5'4" (don't judge - shit happens). Both of my dresses are empire waist (size 20) and I don't have to worry about it. I'm trying to figure out how to go bra-less as a G cup. Probably not going to happen, but a girl can dream. Seriously, I'm friends with Emme

I just wanted to share I found the perfect shapewear at Victoria's Secret last night....its a thong so it has no VPL and it really sucks me in!!!! Plus it goes all the way up to the bust so no line at the hip area!!!

If you want to be REALLY sucked in, there's a Brazilian shape wear company called Squeem that works small miracles. If you Google search them, websites that sell them will pop up.

It's a cotton cinching device, wrapped in rubber, that can decrease the waist by one to four inches. The company recommends wearing it for a couple of hours a day to waist train down, but it also yanks you in well temporarily!

Those look comfy, I need one that doesn't go so high up to the bust because my back is low. I saw some on herroom.com that may work for brides that have a low back dress:

Btw if you have a biiiiiiig ol booty the gusset that opens for you to pee in spanx is harder to pee through because it moves since your ass is stretching it.

I'm in the same boat and I also have a sheath style dress... I'm pretty thin but have gained a few pounds in my midsection over the last year. I'm wearing a high-waist brief that comes up close to the bustline from Target (Self Expressions by Maidenform). It came in size small which is what I needed. It was about $17 and is actually pretty comfortable, and it sucks me in pretty well. Then on top of that I'm wearing a long slip -- I wanted something that would give me a little lift on top but not have any lines, and the longline bra that I originally purchased showed way too much through the dress. I'm pretty happy with my selection -- the hardest part will be getting to the bathroom, but I feel comfortable in the dress with the brief and slip, so that's what I'm doing. Hope that helps!

It's interesting seeing what you guys have been doing - giving me good ideas! Smiley smile i'm having the same issue...that god forsaken stomach pooch is so horrid! unless i eat nothing but like, lettuce, i ALWAYS have one. no matter what. I got a corset for under my sheath dress, and originally I was just gonna use that...but now I want my butt to be nice and firm so I got a spanx that has some lift, and it also sucks in my stomach more, too! I hope it's not gonna be too much...I didn't even think about when I need to pee!
