So, I have been researching a LOT about what is the best foundation to use for the wedding day. Everyday wear for me is Clinique, but I don't have high hopes that it will hold up to the long day and all the pictures. So, I have been researching a LOT about what is the best foundation to use for the wedding day. Everyday wear for me is Clinique, but I don't have high hopes that it will hold up to the long day and all the pictures.

I am willing to spend a bit to have great looking and flawless skin on my wedding day, BUT, I don't want to have to try out 5 things to get there. My skin is oily, it just gets shiny no matter what I try it seems. I use LORAC POREfection primer, and it still gets oily. I have some scarring from skin problems, and still get occasional spots, but those are fairly easy to cover up (I have Dermablend concealer)

That being said, the top picks (based on reviews and research) seem to be:

* MAC Pro Longwear

* MAC Studio Fluid Fix

* Smashbox Stuido Skin 15 Hour

*Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless

*LORAC POREfection foundation

I appeal to you, oh Guru's of wedding make up, to help me out with specifics and relation of experience with the above foundations. Thanks!!!!

    Just a quick update - I tried the Lancôme with their primer, the LA Base Pro primer (NO other primer works with this foundation...but you can get a decent sample of it when you buy the foundation!), and there was NO flash back! So the girl I was talking to was right! And now this is my favorite foundation evaaaaa. And I'm deff wearing it for my big day! You should seriously try it!!

    I used to love Mac for years. Realized it made my skin oily by the end of the day. I discovered makeup forever hd foundation for my epic trial and love it! It's actually lighter than MAC foundation with better coverage and it makes me less oily. Use it with the makeup forever hd powder (which is colorless) and it's awesome. And when you touch up with the powder is doesn't cake on more color turning you orange. I did use airbrush for my wedding day which was even better. I didn't get oily at all and it stayed put. Too faced primed and porelsss is another great blotting powder. It's white also. But none of them make your face look white. They allow the shade of the foundation to do its job.

    Rachey, do you mean you used the Makeup Forever HD Foundation using an airbrush tool? or different makeup?

    No I used the hd foundation for epics and the airbrush foundation comes with it's own special foundation. My sister mixed a few of the colors to get the shade right for me, which is what your MUA would do. You can't use just any foundation in the machine I love the hd foundation so much that I use it everyday now!

    So I tried the Palladio Oil Absorbing rice powder as a setting powder and I LOVE it. Thank you for the tip on that one!

    I've done more research and reading, and I am hoping to make it to Ulta on Sunday to try out the Lancome Teint Ultra 24 hours. I think that sounds right for my skin issues. I will see what they suggest also, but I go into this knowing it's not an "every day look" it's a very special event kind of make up, thus it may be more make up than I would normally wear.

    I'll post pics of my results!!

    Thanks again, ladies!
