Upbeat, fast first dance songs!

Hey ladies!

My FH & I are pretty lively people and like to dance, so we are hoping to do a more fun and uptempo song for our first dance. I'm trying to find something that is somewhat quick but still danceable, without doing a choreographed dance (I personally hate them).

Any suggestions for me? Can be old or new, very lovey or just a fun party song with some love undertones. Just no country please.

    Our first dance is to "You are the best thing" by Ray Lamontagne. Like you we wanted something fun and upbeat. It's not super fast but definitely not slow.

    Susan- that was what I was going to write! Home is going to be our first dance OR that's whats up by Edward Sharpe and Magnetic Zeros. Both are great first dance songs and really bouncy!

    Hi Jess & Sean!

    Congrats on the engagement! You guys sound like a fun couple. I love working with couples like you. Smiley smile One of the hits of this past year was 'Marry You' by Bruno Mars. It's an uptempo song that is also very sweet. Another hit at high energy weddings this year was the 'Fake out' first dance. That's where you have 2 songs. The first being a slower and romantic song which is interrupted by a party anthem like LOW by Flo-Rida or Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO.

    Both of these methods work great and will make for a memorable first dance. Good luck and happy planning!
