I definitely want to have an unplugged wedding so that we can get optimal photos from our photographer. I need some wording ideas!

We worded it like this "We are so glad you all joined us here today, so we ask that you all put away and silence your cell phone and cameras, so we can all be present in this special moment.".

We put it on our website, and our officiant is saying it in his opening remarks. Hope that helps!

Check out Oriental Trading or Zazzle. They have super cute "unplugged" signs for cheap Smiley smile

We had the officiant announce it before the ceremony started worked perfectly and everyone obliged.

We are having this sign displayed before guests are seated and we will be having our DJ announce it before the ceremony begins.

Here’s the wording on my sign! I’m also planning to have the officiant say it to drive the point home extra hard.

I’m not a fan of the cutesy poems or trendy signs, so we are simply having our officiant make a straight-forward announcement. We have also asked our close friends to lead by example and help us reinforce our wishes of other guests try anything.

Our officiant said, "While photos are welcomed during the reception, we ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony for the sake of professional photography. Thank you." And it was a non-issue! Only thing is he didn't say it until we'd all walked down the aisle but thankfully nobody was being obnoxious during that time!

This is what I have on my website under our ceremony time.

Adult-OnlyUnplugged Ceremony We invite you to be fully present during our ceremony. We ask that you please refrain from using phones and cameras and enjoy this special moment with us.”

I also added this little part in the q & a part of our website for those who still may be confused. Lol

We won’t be using a sign, our officiant will also be making an annoucement.
