Unmatched bridesmaid dresses?

I've requested the same of my girls and they looked amazing! For shoes and accessories, I told them if they had something that already worked with your dress then go for it. I wasn't going to ask them to spend more money.

I did it and I was a little scared of it being where one is too off from the others. I asked for pink and not even the same pink just like a gradient where they're similar enough. But in the end they coordinated together and it came out really well.

I’m planning on having mismatched bridesmaids. I will give them a color and length and then let them pick whatever they want. I was in a wedding where the bride told us to pick what dress we wanted but it had to be black and short. I personally liked the freedom to choose my own dress because I would likely end up wearing it again.

I just went bridesmaid dress shopping yesterday w my party and they each picked different colored sequins dresses. After seeing them all lined up next to each other in the different dresses it looked quite nice.

I am having mismatched dresses as well. They will have the same color, fabric, length and I'm also going to have final say in which one they end up with. I have 3 girls and I will have 6 dresses they can choose from. I am going to have them message me their top 3 and hopefully I can get them into their favorite one! I'm not comfortable enough to just say go pick a dress in this color.

I told my bridesmaids the dress had to be long and burgundy and they could choose what fit them best. And they had to order from azazie.com so far, no complaints and I think the dresses will turn out great!

I did it just the same. Send them dress color, shoe color and requested to be long. I do not regret it! The colors all blend together perfectly and all the girls bought dresses that fit their body type, they can use again and at whatever price they felt comfortable with.

I told my girls knee length, black and lace. Everything from there was up to them.

This is exactly what I've done. I wanted to make it easier for them, so I narrowed down the choice to like 8 different dresses. They all have different bodies, and different tastes, and I want them to feel beautiful too. So, they can pick any of those 8 dresses. Shoes, I'm having them choose whatever is comfortable for them, in either nude or silver. I don't regret this at all, because they can pick their own style, whatever suits them.

We haven't ordered anything yet, but I'm using Azazie for my bridesmaids. I've already set up my account, and "created a showroom", which is basically my favorites. Then I've sent the link to my showroom to all my girls. They click the link and it takes them straight there. Azazie also has a try on at home program, so for about $10 per dress, they can order a sample straight from my showroom, and have it sent to them to try on. So, if they really like one, but aren't sure, they can try it at home, and either choose to order it, or send it back as a no. Super easy! It's taking a lot of stress out of that part of the wedding for me.

This is very common! I wanted my girls to be comfortable so they had full reign to pick out any navy blue dress. I did recommend short because of the heat, but one might end up with a long dress, which would be fine. I didn't even think to tell them about shoes... they can wear whatever shoes they want I guess!

I did this too. My bridesmaids are my daughters - one is 25 and the other is 14. I chose black and long, they picked dress style. (They wanted matching shoes.) it’s gonna look great!

I'm doing the same thing!!! I gave them each a color and said no sequins, but has to be long. I'm letting them pick everything. I found this picture in a wedding blog I read and it was perfect t because it's my exact colors!

I think this has become more common than matching dresses. We are doing different (coordinating) colors for each girl and they’re choosing their own styles, they just need to be floor length and chiffon.

I just gave my girls a color scheme to go by and what colors me and the guys are wearing. I only have 3 girls so I said if they want a crop top and skirt, a jumper, short or long dress, whatever is comfortable and affordable to them. I didn’t want anything matchy - even groomsmen and my grooms suits don’t match except the colors (different styles like groom wanted cowboy boots, bow tie and pocket square, best man is only wearing a tie with dress shoes)
