Both? lol...i bet the candle would blow out so it isn't worth it...what about doing the sand ceremony instead?

The beach is too windy for candles, so I usually do the unity sand celebration.

Had one couple at a golf club insist on unity candle despite my advice. Sure enough, it was too breezy to light their candles.

Beaches tend to be windy, so I would think the candle would be difficult.

The sand ceremony might be a nice way to go, or hand binding?

I think the candle would blow out. And love the Robin hood idea mine would not go for it but it would be fun.

Went to an outdoor wedding next to a lake. They had the moms each light a candle and then light a larger candle with the two mom candles. Took a lot of time to light the candles and keep them going.

First, I love the Robin Hood:Men in Tights reference. LMBO at that!!!! Second, I agree with the other ladies. It will be too windy for candles. I even question the sand ceremony personally. What if it blows into your face as your pouring. IDK...that's just my luck anyways. But definitely not the candles. Good Luck!!!

E&E, the sand doesn't usually blow in their faces. The bottles are held about waist high.

Great post and something I did not think about. Sand ceremony for Kyle and me, it is.

ETA: Thank you for posting, and thanks to the ladies for some great responses!
