Our caterer doesn't do the usual option of one or the other, so our guests will be getting a portion of panko crusted chicken with a cream sauce and flank steak with au jus along with 2 sides plus bread rolls on the table. I don't believe anyone will be leaving hungry. Smiley smile

We served stations for our meal. A carving station, a mashed potato and macaroni bar, and a taco and fajita station. Something to satisfy everyone!

We are getting married in New Orleans, so we are hiring a chef to create a NOLA-inspired menu for us

    Indian food.

Chana Masala, Aloo Gobi, Samosas, naan, etc.

I'm drooling just thinking about it.

In my culture we do a 10 course family style meal. and so anyone asian wasn't very surprised by the meal haha however anyone not asian, was completely taken aback by the sheer amount of food

In exactly the order they came out in: bbq combo platter [this is like assorted cold cut meats], fried seafood roll [sort of like individual seafood rolls], shrimp with assorted vegetables, seafood soup, a veggie only dish, peking duck, lobster, steamed fish, fried rice, a dessert AND the wedding cake.

so interestingly, the peking duck came out in two separate platters - one for just the meat and one for the crispy skin. and whomever was a vegetarian or needed a special meal, could just order off a separate menu the venue had for their own entree.

Holy cow! Did you warn everybody before they started eating that it was going to be a 10 course meal? I definitely would have needed that forewarning so I could prepare my tummy for battle 😂 Otherwise I would’ve gassed out like 3-4 courses in! That all sounds amazing!

We served 2 items that are fairly unique for weddings... swanky tacos and edamame quinoa salad.

The best thing I’ve seen at a wedding was a sushi bar during cocktail hour. The food was delicious!

I don't know how unique this is, but we did:

Appetizers: Caprese Skewers, Chicken Potstickers, Cheese & Crackers, Fruit & Dip.

Meal: Ceasar Salad, Rolls, Cajun Butter Tri-Tips, Crab-stuffed Grouper, Lemon Garlic Green Beans, and Cheesy Potatoes.

Dessert: Marble cake with lemon curd filling and whipped buttercream, almond cake with strawberries & cream filling and american buttercream.

Yeah I had a menu on each table so they’d know. But most people even when they wait, they still get gassed out half way aha

We had 3 different station buffets!

Station 1 - taco station. Choice of South west shrimp or ground chicken, and a boat load of different taco toppings

    Station 2 - italian station

BLT (bacon, leek, tomato) rigatoni or maraniara pomodoro. Salad with a house dressing and toasted ravolis

    Station 3- meat carving station

18-hour smoked beef brisket. Choice of blackberry BBQ sauce or regular BBQ sauce. Asiago new potatoes and rolls

Then for dessert we did heart shaped rice krispies, cookie sandwiches, 4 flavors of mini cupcakes, and 2 flavors of cake

We go SO many compliments on the food and no one left hungry!
