UNFREAKINBELIEABLE! Salon ordered the wrong dress and size!

I went in today to pay the remaining balance and pick up my dress today. It was delayed from the manufacturer for weeks. My sisters and niece meet me there and we're all excited if course. They bring in the dress and I start to try it on. One sister says it doesn't look like my dress but I assure her that it is. I TRY to slip into the dress and it DOES not fit! Like its someone else's dress. Needless to say that I had a fit... both my sisters did as well. The owner argued with me saying that I gained weight in my breasts and waist but NOT in my hips. (Is that even possible?!?). It just so happens that the consultant who helped me was fired for some unknown reason. So today I ended up having to find a new dress and getting it altered. The owner refused to admit fault, yet she did allow me to exchange my dress for the new one at no additional cost. I was so hurt that I cried outside of the bridal shop before I calmed down enough to find another dress. There were two possible cont

The EXACT same thing happened to me. My dress was delayed and didn't end up coming in until just under a month before my wedding. They measured me wrong and refused to admit it. They told me I gained 5 INCHES in my hips even though my waist and bust were the exact same as the day I was measured. The ended up giving me a $150 discount (off of a $2800 dress ffs) and told me to take it or leave it. I was able to have it let out enough but I am still pissed about it.

@MNBride WOW! This is seriously crazy! 5 inches in your hips and NO WHERE else and you're supposed to accept that?!?! That's ridiculous! I guess you and I only gain weight in certain places (side eye). $150 is nothing off of $2800 gown when THEY made the error! I'm pissed for you even though you're already married and that fiasco is over!
