UNFREAKINBELIEABLE! Salon ordered the wrong dress and size!

I went in today to pay the remaining balance and pick up my dress today. It was delayed from the manufacturer for weeks. My sisters and niece meet me there and we're all excited if course. I went in today to pay the remaining balance and pick up my dress today. It was delayed from the manufacturer for weeks. My sisters and niece meet me there and we're all excited if course. They bring in the dress and I start to try it on. One sister says it doesn't look like my dress but I assure her that it is. I TRY to slip into the dress and it DOES not fit! Like its someone else's dress. Needless to say that I had a fit... both my sisters did as well. The owner argued with me saying that I gained weight in my breasts and waist but NOT in my hips. (Is that even possible?!?). It just so happens that the consultant who helped me was fired for some unknown reason. So today I ended up having to find a new dress and getting it altered. The owner refused to admit fault, yet she did allow me to exchange my dress for the new one at no additional cost. I was so hurt that I cried outside of the bridal shop before I calmed down enough to find another dress. There were two possible cont

    Omg I remember your post about this mess!! Ugh I am so sorry this is happening to you. What a nightmare but I'm sure you are going to look absolutely stunning in your new dress!

    I remember your previous post too! Actually I'm really mad right now about this so I can imagine how you feel! Hang in there, girl !! (Don't mind me..lol..it's just that unfairness makes me Hair On Fire when I read about it sometimes =)

    I remember your post about them asking to give your dress away. Sounds like that is exactly what they did! I'm so sorry but I'm glad you found another dress (though you shouldn't have had to!). I hope it is smooth sailing from now until the wedding

    @kitty, @nerd & @red. I agree! That's exactly what they did IMO! I hate that I had to get a new dress as that was stressful as HELL! I am glad that I can go to my fittings at my seamstress's shop instead of the bridal salon. I never want to set foot in there again. I will post pictures of the new dress as soon as I can.

    Ah!!! that was my fear when I ordered my dress because my consultant was completely incompetent. I also remember them calling to ask if you'd switch dresses. Which, in and of itself takes A LOT of balls. I hate that you're going through this. Our date is fast approaching!

    Them asking you to switch is SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Are you running a business or a flea market? That option should never have even been on the table. Gross.

    I'm so sorry, that sounds so stressful. The pic of you in the first dress is gorgeous, are you getting that same dress reordered? Or have you gone with a completely new dress?

    The worst part to me is that they body shamed you. Trying to tell you that YOU gained weight instead of taking responsibility for THEIR error? Hell no.

    Wow! This is awful! I feel so sorry that you're having to go through this so close to your wedding day! I'm sure you'll look absolutely stunning in whatever you have! Just make sure to write an honest review about your experience with this vendor!

    @Carrie it "just so happened" to be 6/23. 1 week before I picked up my gown.

    @wwJo I had to get a completely different gown due to the closeness of my date. The sample was in such bad shape. I wouldn't dream of taking that one.

    @runaway I won't lie, I felt like crap for the rest of Saturday. I didn't eat anything.. I even got measured again because I couldn't believe what had happened and my measurements had decreased by inches since Dec when I ordered it! I came home upset and told FH who was pissed but said "I didn't like the 1st one anyway" (he hadn't seen it lol)
