Underwear/ Spanx for the big day?

I actually am getting those for myself haha! I think they're great. I finally purchased a pair of Spanx a couple months ago and they're the best thing ever. You won't be disappointed.

My dress also has a low back, so I share this concern. I actually just ordered this pair and two other pairs from Nordstrom yesterday. I'm going to bring all three to my next fitting and see what works best.

I had some really cute white underwear that matched my bra. 10 minutes before i walked down the isle, i took them off and didnt have any on the whole night. I had no intention of doing that but I HIGHLY recommend it. It was so comfortable!

@Sarah, that's a great strategy. I'm not sure how low the back will be cut (sample size was very different from my size), so this may be the way to go.

I purchased a pair very similar to the ones that you are looking at but I ordered them from Venus and they are nude. I bought them as a just in case but I have a feeling that I will be doing exactly what PP did. I will probably wear them for getting ready and then end up removing them. Truthfully, maybe TMI but I rarely wear them on a regular basis so I expect to be uncomfortable in underwear on the big day LOL.

I'm wearing minimal under my dress. Very tiny pair of undies and cups are sewn in my dress. I don't want to burn up with extra clothes underneath.

I have that same pair in nude and I love them!!!

I have a pair of very comfortable boyshort undies that I have tested with my dress.

I am still on the fence about a bra- I do have a corset style bra but I will ask my seamstress's advice- if possible I will get cups sewn in.

I had the same question. My dress just came in and I want to get whatever I would be wearing under my strapless dress prior to going for my fitting before alterations (i was in between sizes so went with the smaller one first). I have never had spanx before and I am a plus size bride as well.

Regular, comfortable underwear. I hate spanx, even though I am larger. Super uncomfortable. Luckily my dress is a corset, so it will suck everything in.

Those are cute but not something I wanna wear under my gown. I have huge thighs that hate each other and I will probably need something that fits like boy shorts but a little longer. I also don't want any undies that will be giving me murphies all night lol. ... I'll make sure I'm not wearing anyyyy underwear when FH takes my dress off ;P

@Bunny, I think they're pretty true to size.

Melissa, the more typical Spanx shorts cover the thighs so they might be what you're looking for.

My thighs get sweaty plus my dress has a silk underlay so I'm wearing nude cotton shorts underneath.

I purchased Spanx to wear on the day of the wedding. I wore it all the fittings and brought to the venue where I was getting dressed. By the time I got the dress on, I just didn't care to wear them. Good thing I wore nude undies that day.

@Melissa you should look into Body Glide for thigh rub - it is amazing and waterproof. It has saved me from chafing so many times and when I use it I don't have to wear long boy shorts (I hate them, they run up anyways since I have large thighs).
