I think it depends on what kind of dress you've got! If it's more form-fitting throughout the bodice and you're looking for shapewear, Honeylove is who I was looking at for a sheath dress I was considering for a wedding! Dillards and other department stores usually have wide selections and you can try them on before you buy anything, but I also know a lot of brides have had success with Amazon!

My dress is an A-line with built in cups and I'm just wearing nude undies and no bra.

I'd recommend Googling your dress silhouette followed by "shapewear" and see what pops up!

I recently purchased shape wear from Skims and honestly? Its amazing! I was skeptical but had heard good things so I gave it a shot. I got a pair that goes from my thighs to under my bra and it was a) comfortable (which I thought impossible) b) stayed up the whole time (I wore it to try on dresses. I was moving and wiggling a LOT) and c) the best thing ever - has a split crotch so that technically, you could not wear anything under it and be able to pee without taking it off! It's most likely going to be what I wear under my dress on the day. They come in a ton of styles and colors (they even have ones like I bought but with only one leg incase your dress has a slit!) I'm not one to typically buy something just because a celeb owns the brand or what have you, but I'll be damned if this wasn't the most comfortable shape wear I have ever worn.

Their underwear is also really comfy. Like I'm not wearing any. I haven't given their bras a try, but if you're looking for shape wear, I highly recommend.

Thanks for the feedback, my dress is also “a-line” I’ll need to get a built in bra made for my dress, I have my alterations appointment for this on the 26th of this month. She said I need my undergarments and shoes. I don’t have either ugh. Starting to feel anxiety!!

Hi Shay! I always hear great things about Skims, Honeylove, and Shapermint!! They're primarily shapewear but some dresses have low backs or plunges that necessitate crazy shaped undergarments!

Here's a great shopping guide you should check out:

The most recommended brands are Shapermint and Honeylove for shapers and Goodlines.com for adhesive tape

No, take a breath! You've got this! The shoes are the fun part!

Hm, is she wanting to take an existing bra and put it in the dress, or is she going to add cups and build you a bra from scratch? If it's the second option, then I'd say you're kind of in the clear with undergarments - unless you'd like some shapewear!

I am shopping off Amazon and Macy's (Macy's because my mom has an account and my aunt always has discount codes or coupons). A friend of mine shopped at a store called Fredrick's of Hollywood, they do have some really cute items.
