ULTA hairstylist for day of hair

FutureMrsForte, on October 27, 2015 at 11:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

I am thinking i want to hire someone to do my hair for the day of the wedding. I usually do my own hair for formal events but everyone is telling me it is a lot easier to hire someone to do your hair. i absolutely love my hair stylist but she is horrible at updos which is what i want for the day of. My venue is near an ulta and i heard they do very good updos and they are extremely affordable! has anyone had their hair done at ulta? and how did it turn out? thanks!

It's going to be different by store and by hair stylist. You should schedule a trial, and if you like the hair stylist's updo, then book them at Ulta.

I've been going to Ulta for years! They all always do a great job. They trains their stylists very well. The gal that normally does my hair (who I happen to have known since elementary school) is going to come to me on the big day which I'm excited about. I would definitely recommend going in, maybe just for a hair cut, and see how you get along with the stylist and then have her curl your hair or straighten it (depending on which direction your going for the wedding). That way you get a haircut, get to know her, and get to see how well she works with your hair.

Just to play devil's advocate, I got my hair done there and it turned out HORRIBLE. Granted, I was dying it and not getting it styled. Definitely schedule a trial, and if you like it go for it! However, make sure you ask for an experienced stylist just for peace of mind.

I had mine done for a friends wedding. I wasn't impressed. I ended up curling it again before the ceremony and another bridesmaids hair was falling out and we kept having to pin it back up for her. Brides hair stayed in OK.
