I've been scarred by the ugly bridesmaids dresses by the movies, and from hearing friends complain about how much they hated them. We're doing a Christmas palette (red, green, and gold) and my dress is a dark green, so I asked my bridesmaids to pick dresses they thought suited them in either red or gold. My family all thinks it's a little strange, but it just seems more humane >_> and since I'm not paying for their dresses, I'm paying for hair and makeup.
