UGH! Hair stylist chopped TOO much off. HELP!

_karenz_, on May 26, 2014 at 2:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

So I'm flying to Hawaii in 10 days to scope out some beach venues and have my hair and makeup consultation and yesterday my stylist colored my hair and went Edward Scissorhands on my hair. I had been growing it out for 2 years and it was finally the length I wanted (5 inches past bra strap in the back). I told her to just trim 1 inch because I have my wedding hair trial in Hawaii in 2 weeks. I want long loose curls to go with my beach wedding and I know I can't grow it all back by October. So I'm hoping for input on the best clip in hair extensions. Right now I'm leaning towards the Bellami 20 inch ones. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Hoping to get my order before I leave for Hawaii. Thanks!

She chopped off about 4 inches but also "texturized" my already thin hair so I have more layers than I want.

I'd be super annoyed. My hair it's almost back of bra length and I'm not going near a salon until my wedding day.

Stylists don't tend to get that I really don't like layers. I love it all being one length

Start taking biotin. It will help your hair grow! I take 5000mg a day and it helps it grow and looks healthier.

Ahh I feel your pain! I spent 2.5 years growing my hair out from above shoulder length to 2 inches below bust. Last summer I got highlights (big mistake!) and my hair got so damaged that it needed to be cut. I went to the salon in December and told her to cut off everything that was damaged beyond repair and that turned out to be 6 inches. My hair was still very long but I felt so naked without it. I wore clip in extensions for a while (before it was cut) before my hair got to a length I loved so I figured I could just wear my extensions until it grew back. I put my extensions in and they were the same length as my newly cut hair! Anyways, the point of this is, it probably seems like a lot was cut off but your hair is probably still super long. I've been taking hair, skin, and nails gummies (I'm a sucker for anything like that) and just taking really good care of my hair. A lot of it has already grown back and I'm actually getting to the point where I want a good trim again. If you go with extensions, Bellami is what I would purchase as well. Good luck! Smiley smile

Hair skin and nails works wonders!! (it has biotin in it, plus the added nutrients that your hair needs). It says to take 2 daily but I take 1 because 2 made me break out. Even with 1 it has more than enough nutrients.

I'm not 100% sure about the brand of my extensions, but I went to Sally's and bought the real hair clip ins. They were fabulous.

@Aimee P- yes! Last week my hair should wrap around my boob now it doesn't even touch the underwire on the side. Smiley sad

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did start taking biotin on Saturday and I was think about taking prenatal vitamins but I guess I'll opt for one specifically for hair, skin and nails. What brand do you ladies like?

I did some research last night and I think I'm going to buy Bellami Hair extensions. It is 100% remi human hair. I think they ship from Los Angeles so I should have them before I leave for Hawaii since I live near San Diego.

    Thank you!!
