Uber for bridal party to go to ceremony?

xbramsx, on June 20, 2017 at 6:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

Hi y'all!

So my bridal party & I are getting ready at a hotel less than 3 blocks away from the ceremony/reception. My fiancé & I had discussed getting an uber (like an SUV or lux) to drive us.

Just wondering if anyone has done this themselves or been involved in a wedding that they've done this. Would love input!

Thanks!

I haven't done it or seen it done. But, I would be concerned about not being able to get a car in the area when it's needed.

I don't see anything wrong with this. Also does the hotel have a shuttle that travels a certain radius? That would be another option.

I was a BM in my friend's wedding where she set up an uber event and gave us a code to use for the uber rides. Even though she was told the code was good for multiple uses, it actually only worked once per user. If you set up an uber event code, make sure it can be used more than once per user!

We uber eeeeeverywhere haha! We're all doing the same thing! Uber black. FH and I are even scheduling an Uber Black in advance to come pick us up and take us home after the wedding!

I have been wondering if any of you ladies have decided to do this! I really want to use Uber SUV because a car service gave me a quote of $500 for a 30 minute pickup and drop off!

We are planning to do that too! Even leaving our own reception in an uber black. Sounds like a great idea to me!

Did Uber XL with the bride once as a bridesmaid and it was totally fine.

We will almost certainly be doing Lyft (it gets you Delta miles!) before and after the wedding. No need to transport anybody during the wedding since everything is in the same place. Or if we wind up staying at the hotel that is a couple of blocks from the venue we may just walk.

Glad you asked this question as I was planning to do the same thing with my wedding transportation. It hasn't been done with anyone I know so I was too curious. Uber is really plentiful in the DC area so I'm not too worried about the availability of Uber Black or Uber SUV.
