Two weeks' to go...

Helen, on July 8, 2019 at 8:57 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hello ladies, so I am at the fourteen day mark, and whilst I've been fairly chilled up until this point...I'm starting to feel the pressure.

I've been working really hard on losing weight- my dress had to be taken in a lot during my first fitting, but at my second fitting (3 weeks later), I had lost weight again despite trying to maintain. They are taking it in again, but have warned me that I cannot afford to lose-or gain- anything now, as there will be no time for further alterations Smiley sad This is stressing me out! I've been on keto for a long time, and had planned to "maintain" by introducing some more vegetables and salad, but that clearly didn't work. The last thing I want to do is increase my eating/decrease my exercise at 2 weeks out- but I also don't want to be walking down the aisle in a dress that's too big for me! I'm my own worst critic and usually pull my appearance apart anyway, so this is a difficult time for me.

And I keep thinking there are other things I should be doing/am forgetting about! All of the big things are done- but any tips on the smaller bits and bobs that sometimes get overlooked?!

Thanks for listening, just needed to rant I think. Hope everyone else's planning is going well Smiley smile xxx

Yay, how exciting! I would just go over everyone's duties the week before and check in with all vendors to make sure everything is good to go. Also, I am definitely a list person, so making lists of things to bring and don't forget to pack an emergency bag! Also, if you focus more on your honeymoon (such as shopping for cute outfits/swimsuits/lingerie) these last two weeks, you won't feel as stressed about the wedding!

Increase your fats! Remember Keto was developed as a diet for kids with epilepsy but one of the side effects was weight loss. (Which is why we all love it.) To keep the kids from wasting away they had to eat high amounts of fats. You want to eat more fats than your body is burning. Adjust your macros if you haven’t already and track on the carb manager app.

I think sometimes we lose weight anyway due to the stress even when we aren't consciously doing anything that we think changes it. For me I felt like my dress fit and then the day of the wedding .... I MUST HAVE LOST WEIGHT.

It did! My moh thought it was a bit large as in it had some space where I could have tightened it but my three other bridesmaids felt it looked like it fit fine especially because I had a sash over it to tie around. It did feel a bit larger on me than I remembered it when I had tried it on but it's ok! That's why I didn't go with strapless.
