Two Weeks Out!-help

Arlene, on October 18, 2020 at 12:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

Hi everyone. My wedding is in two weeks and I am kind of freaking out bc I’m NOT freaking out and from what I’ve heard the last two weeks are the most stressful. I’m concerned I’m not doing something I should be doing and it will be too late by the time I realize something is missing 😩 I have checked-in with every vendor (dj, venue, caterer, photographer, videographer, florist, bartender, day of coordinator) and we’re good to go. I have my dress, shoes, garter, jewelry, hair accessories, and wedding party gifts, favors and personalized signs. Booked tan and nail appointments. I hired someone to do my decorations and she will provide decor as well so I don’t have to worry about decor and center pieces etc.

Is there anything I’m overlooking or should be doing? Thank you!

Try not to freak out about not freaking out. If you haven't found an officiant or received your marriage license, you should worry about that. If you have both of those, try not to put any extra pressure on yourself. It sounds like you're prepared so you're probably fine, and if you're freaking out about freaking out, you're less likely to notice anything you've actually missed.

Seriously relax. It won’t make a difference if you’re just stressed out. You won’t remember anything extra. You’ll probably just lose sleep. No use doing that! Try to schedule a date with your fiancé in the next two weeks. Get together with some girlfriends, etc. It’ll help to be around them.
Do you have a wedding planner? She’ll probably tell you if there’s something missing. Don’t work yourself too hard. Your wedding is supposed to be AMAZING, but not at the cost of months of stress leading up to it. ❤️

I was actually pretty calm the week of the wedding. If you've checked off your list and everything is ready to go, then... you're good. Enjoy it!

That’s great! Stressing and freaking out doesn’t have to be part of the wedding planning process. However too many brides allow it to be. So congrats!!!!!
