Two rooms for the venue but not everyone fits in one room.

So our venue fits 150 in one room maximum and the other room more. But the first room is where the dancing will happen so I would like tables to be around the dance floor but it only sits 150. And if we had all the tables in the other room for dinner and the first room set up for ceremony and dancing. That means chairs would have to be dragged back and forth. I just dont know what to do. I was thinking of separating older kids and their parents to give more room for adults around the tables and the older kids being 8-13 could be in the other room eating and then join in during dancing. It would only be for two hours during dinner but it would free some space for adults. As a parent of a 9 and 11 year old i would be ok with that. But every parent is different. So any other ideas.

We had our dinner and dancing in completely separate spaces. In our area for dancing we had a ton of lounge furniture and high top tables so people could still sit if they didn’t want to dance.

    Hey there, Marisol!

How many guests are you inviting in total?

Can tables and chairs be placed on the dance floor in room 1? Would this fit more guests in? They could then be removed for dancing!

I would definitely recommend that you speak with the venue coordinator if you haven't already. He/she may have ideas from weddings held at the venue previously!
