Two Ring Bearers - two pillows??

Tracy D, on October 13, 2016 at 10:01 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12

I just started browsing around at flower girl and ring bearer accessories. I don't know why this didn't occur to me until now, but since I'm having two ring bearers (9 and 7), what should they both carry? I'm not into the kids carrying the signs that read "Here comes your bride" or anything like that. Any suggestions?

Maybe a pillow with handles on the side so they can each hold a side and share it. You could have two pillows with one holding your ring and one with his ring still being side by side.

I have THREE nephews, therefore THREE ring bearers ! I am getting HIS and HER ring boxes from Etsy for the two older boys ( both 8 ) and then the younger one ( 4 ) will probably carry a sign of some sort? I am not sure yet !

One could carry the pillow and the other could carry a sign. Pinterest has a lot of cute ideas about this. Like "daddy, here comes mommy." "Uncle here comes your girl. etc..

We did one pillow because DH's grandma made it and I didn't want to ask her to hand make a second! I ended up doing a "ring security" sign for my 2nd ring bearer (who was 3) so he wouldn't be mad that his brother got to carry something and he didn't. 2 minutes before his time to walk the 3 year old would not put the sign on. He just walked down with his brother & that was that! Besides signs I'm having trouble thinking of anything else that he might be able to carry. You could do 2 pillows with one ring on each?

I like the ring security idea! Thanks! And the his & hers boxes sound better than carrying two pillows Smiley smile Thanks for the suggestions!

How many flower girls you have? My nephew escorted his sister, FG down the aisle. She's so clumsy so his job was to make sure she didn't fall...lol

I have 2 ring Bearers also, my son 4 and FH's son 5. I got 2 of these and we'll have each carry a ring tied with the twine.

Have the Best Man hold all of the rings and give dummy rings to the kids.

I'm not having ring bearers or flower girls, but my dogs will have the rings and walk them down the isle. I have 2 dogs, so one would carry one ring and the other will carry the other ring. I feel like you could apply the same to your situation and have each boy carry a pillow or a box. I'm not a fan of signs either!

We are having my two cousins be ring bearers, and they will both carry. Instead of pillows though, we are doing small wooden boxes that close.. I'm going to paint them and put each of out initials on each one. They're younger, 3 and 5, so I wanted to be sure that in case they dropped them, the rings wouldn't be lost. I have also heard of ring bearers carrying empty pillows and the rings being with the best man/MOH. It's whatever you want to do!
